Blade Flurry is boring. How about

…a grenade or bomb as an AoE finishing move? Passive splash damage on attacks isn’t fun at all, but explosives are! Remove Dancing Steel as one of the last talent options and in its place add the bomb. It would replace Blade Flurry entirely and allow you to be an outlaw in more than name.

Go play a survival hunter if you want bombs for AoE.

Or get an engineering helm for bombs. It doesn’t make it any more “fun” seeing those bombs go off.

I disagree. Blade Flurry would be lots of fun if we could SEE the Flurries striking them…

But generally, Blade Flurry sucks as a move right now.
Sure, the DPS gain is a bonus. But it’s uptime is pitifully lacking compared to every other class (and both other Rogue Specs) and it’s way too situational.

I’d trade a little bit of it’s DPS gain for a little more uptime.
Or maybe just take it off the Global Cooldown.

Blade flurry is amazing, especially with dancing steel.

Soon you will come to love Dancing Steel like a brother

Have you met my brother?

If you are having problems with uptime on Blade Flurry, you either need to use dancing steel, or you are simply using it too often. You don’t want to use it on literally every pull where there are only 2 or 3 mobs. If you know a big pack, or even a reaping pack is coming up soon, you should save up your charges.

Dancing steel is amazing, not just because the extra 5% damage, but it means that your blade flurry will be up far more often, because the duration of it is increased enough that another nearly recharges by the time the first one ends.

I’m on the other end of the spectrum, I wish outlaw spec was still combat. I get the appeal of a rugged pirate type class but I loved the feel of a fury warrior in leather with stealth. Something about it was just awesome. Anyways I’m enjoying rogue a lot, and blade flurry when used correctly is crazy dps boost!

This is true till they get stuck in the ceiling in waycrest, then pull mobs in the floor above you. Or blow up on a awning on the last boss of toll barad and never land on boss lol

Still love the bombs raining from the sky though

Just get used to using tricks if the trade often in mythic + once you get to max level. Even on weeks that are not skiddish. Our huge so burst can very easily pull aggro off tank.

I am basically using it on cooldown as long as I have blade flurry activate, especially right before you go crazy with blade flurry then pop your adrenaline rush
