This abilities seem to be ignoring armor on secondary targets in PVP. Its hard to say in PVE because most NPC have such low armor. As I remember it that was changed in old vanilla to not do this. Seems a little game breaking.
I use sweeping strikes a lot and can confidently say that it is not ignoring armor, at least on TBC classic. Can’t speak for SOM. When grinding ogres, and I am hitting a ogre mage, the sweeping strikes will hit for less on the higher armored non mage ogre next to him.
Same in PvP, Can hit a rogue, and the sweeping strikes will hit for a LOT less on the plate wearer near him. What information is making you think that it is “ignoring armor”?
Not sure what I am doing by my Sweeping strikes is cleaving for a ton more than primary target, even if the off target is plate. I screen shot it, and sent it off to blizzard in the in game bug thing.
Is this retail, SOM, or TBC classic? You never indicated. I know for 100% certain it is working properly on TBC classic.

Also keep in mind that just because someone is “plate” doesn’t mean that you will hit them for less. Berserker stance increases damage taken by 10%, which is huge and totally negates the mitigation advantage of plate. Couple that with the fact that they may have death wish, recklessness, or zerker buff up, which further increases damage taken.
Also a lot of clothies have some game breaking damage mitigation abilities which totally negates the fact of them being cloth in the first place. I’m not sure what ability it is, but in TBC often times when hitting Warlocks, I hit them as hard as I am someone wearing plate. Not sure what mechanic that is that increases their damage mitigation, but Warlocks are jokingly OP in TBC in all aspect.
I send the logs and screen shots off to blizzard already man, they will figure it out; they always do. They track literally everything, maybe its an item I have bugging, I don’t know. Just seeing if anyone here is seeing the same.
There is no sweeping strikes bug. You’re just a ranged who wants to try to get more warrior nerfs. Let’s worry about nerfing real OP classes like hunters, Warlocks, mages. Warriors need all the help they can get, and you still want them nerfed.
