So with Patch 11.1, we learned that the Blackwater Pirates are considered one of the newer cartels. It does however make me wonder if they are still aligned with the Steamwheddle and if Booty Bay is theirs over being Steamwheddle.

Could be that it’s either co owned or each cartel owns a section of the city

I imagine the Bay will be fully under their control, both for simplicity’s sake and because there was never any real non-Blackwater presence in the city to begin with. It will be interesting to see just how amicable their ascension as been.

I’m sure Booty Bay is still Blackwater. They were the only goblin presence there before, it’s not like other Steamwheedle branches had operations there.

What I’m less sure about is Ratchet’s status. Did it stay Steamwheedle when Gazlowe left or did it follow him to Bilgewater?

Its never been directly stated.

I just assumed that Gazlowe officially left the city, while having an unofficial influence on Ratchet, which remained Steamwheddle.

Well either way I’m joining the blackwater cartel in 11.1 they just seem totally awesome…

Booty Bay should still be under management that it was, given we visited it as recently as DF.

That’s what I’m thinking.

I’m just curious on when Baron Revilgaz became a Trade Prince and the Blackwater Pirates a Cartel in their own right.
