Blacksmiths should be able to melt down armor instead of disenchant. Just sayin’!!!

Sort of, although that was open to all. I guess if only Smiths could melt down Plate, for example, they could justify yields being a bit better than the scrapper as balance. Possibly only allow melting down of crafted pieces? That is a common trope in other games.
Basically yeah.
