Can I get to my skill lever high before I hit 75? I got my mining upgraded to 150. Of course I had all the requirements.
Okay, what are you trying to do?
The first 75 should be rough stone items until green, then orange copper gear.
At some point it will switch to course stone items until green, then copper orange, then bronze.
You’ll still be making Bronze when heavy stone items hit. Run those to green and finish out bronze items until you hit iron buckles.

Thanks I was just wondering if it’s like mining. I was able to get to apprentice on that but no option on blacksmithing.
Gotta go to a higher ranked blacksmith, there’s one in the middle of the Dwarven district in Stormwind.

Yes, all the professions and secondaries are the same with a few exceptions.
1-75 is can be learned right away.
at 50 you can learn up to 150.
at 125 you’ll need to find a trainer that will do that set. (For first aid, cooking, and fishing it’s a book you have to buy off a specific vendor in the game world. Not one of the trainers in the starting city.
The 150-225 trainer is usually in the main capitol city. For instance, I think the blacksmith Horde trainer for that set is only in Org.
225-300 requires level 35 and a special quest chain.
The professions are really kind of a mini-game within WoW. Sort of like bag inventory management and the AH.
