Blacksmithing Skills not calculating correctly on Primal Molten Gear

I believe there’s an issue with some of the calculations of difficulty on Blacksmithing Items.

For example -

Skill Required on Primal Molten Longsword R5 is 300.
Skill Required on Primal Molten Warglaive R5 is 300.
Skill Required on Obsidian Seared Claymore R5 is also 300.
Skill Required on Obsidian Seared Slicer R5 is also 300.

I have spent 90 points in Weaponsmithing mastering Long Blades - as part of that, I unlock Primal Molten Longsword and Warglaive. I have an additional 10 points in Hafted and 21 points in Axes, Picks and Polearms.

I have also spent an additional 15 points in both Speciality Smithing and Toolsmithing.
I have also spent 30 points in Hammer Control to get more skill, along with 5 points in Poignant Plans.

I have Black Dragon Touched Hammer R3, Flameproof Apron R5 and a Draconium Blacksmith’s Toolkit R5 (damn mettle)

If review my Crafting Details for all of the items listed above, you’ll see an issue with how it’s calculated.

Longsword:
Recipe Difficulty 300.
Skill 264 (98 - my current BS skill + 164)
Warglaive:
Recipe Difficulty 300.
Skill 264 (98 - my current BS skill + 164)
Claymore:
Recipe Difficulty 300
Skill 339 (98 - my current BS skill + 241)
Slicer:
Recipe Difficulty 300
Skill 300 (98 - my current BS skill + 212)

I believe there is a bug with how Primal Gear skill is is being calculated. Can anyone confirm this?

Are you accounting for the mats each recipe is going to use? The quality of the mats checked for use in the recipe provide from 0% (all 1*) up to 25% (all 3*) of the recipe difficulty. If the various recipes you list use some different materials then the amount of that contribution might change significantly.

This. In order to truly see your skill with each, you need to make sure you have all R1 or all R3 mats in your inventory since there is no way to really see what the mats are adding in without a calculator and obnoxious mat. (which is poor design).
