Trying to figure out why my blacksmith has a skill of 414 towards Charged Halberd but only 313 towards Charged Claymore. Even the Charged Runeaxe and Everforged Greataxe are 313 that should be in the exact same specialization as the Halberd.
Specialization Numbers:
Weaponsmithing: 30 (max)
Blades: 25 (max)
Long Blades: 25 (max)
Hafted Weapons: 25 (max)
Axes and Polearms: 25 (max)
Is there a way to get the other weapons to 414 skill as well (after I put 5 more points each into short blades and maces - currently have both at 20/25)?
Blacksmith in question is Troggles-Fizzcrank (Orc DK).
It sounds like you have the higher rank materials for the Halberd in your inventory as the difference is 20% of the max required skill, which would equate to either R1 to R2 or R2 to R3 mats. After checking the recipes, you probably have 2 Rank 2 Charged Alloy sitting around. As long as you don’t have the threshold for Sanctified or Ironclaw Alloys for the other weapons the system default calculates as if all of the mats are the rank 2 of what you do have.
The highest base skill you can get for the weapons is 335. Anything above that is due to possessed materials.
Good answer, it is indeed a case that I have enough of one of the materials for the Halberd while not having enough of any one item for any of the others.
