In regards to auction house…what items can be sold for good values ?
Also i find 350 items pretty bad for auction…cos no one wants to buy them. Hoofplates are useful.
Is blacksmithing a bad profession in bfa ? Please give your opinion.
Yes blacksmithing is trash now.
They might be able to improve it by offering ways for it to craft high relevant level gear. Even if it required you to farm mats from high end raiding or something - but would add more flavor to itemization if they gave more portals for you to earn gear from rather than just pve content.
That’s my take on it
No. In general, this will always be a bad solution because you can just craft/buy an item instead of having to “work” for it (dungeons/raids, etc). The finer points of this reality could be argued, but you should never have to “work” for an (sic) i450 Axe … and then be able to just craft/buy one of the same quality. We need goals and the ability to work towards those goals. Walking up to the AH and just buying the item… removes ALL OF THAT.
That said, the solution is actually so simple: remember when you needed to enchant your weapon? Of course, because we still do. But when you also had to enchant this… and that… and the other thing, and 5-6 pieces of gear? And then for a bit needed an item from LW, too? Blizzard was so close!
What we need is:
Enchanters make weapon and ring enchants (since we already have this).
LW make chest and leg items for leather, mail, plate.
Tailoring makes chest and leg items for cloth, leather, and mail (same effective item, you need the overlap so both professions make 3 things).
BS makes Helm, boot, and weapon enchants (again, 3 things).
Alchemy is already the ONLY prof that works in this game, leave it alone.
JC needs to better reinforce “progression” in the game:
The first raid tier of an expansion should have 1 gem slot on some items. The second raid tier, 2 slots; the third raid tier should have 3 slots on some items.
This not only breathes SOOO much life back into JC, but allows more stat-customization without as much of the hassle of reforging. Reforging also did nothing for our horrible professions. My idea makes JC useful again.
Inscription should go back to the major/minor thing. But largely, Inscription still feels like the profession we never wanted or needed. A classic example of adding new stuff for the sake of adding new stuff, when it doesn’t bring anything WORTHWHILE to the game.
at this point, BfA stirrups are my bs seller item. Now if Blizzard would make an old world stirrups recipe… please.
Blizz has to go back to the drawing board when it comes to this profession.
And it’s absolutely the worst profession out there.
There are very few professions that last well though a whole of an xpac. Very simple because gear can be gained by other means for just doing content that is better than paying a whole lot of gold for something your going to get very little use out of before getting rid of it.
Early in an xpac there is a huge race to quickly capitalize on the market when it is at its best. But the longer an xpac is out even if they patch in new items to build, the market falls off.
