The drop rates on those are god awful. I really hope they do a sweep. I can get any other “rare prof” treasure item consistently, but these little buggers just don’t seem to exist. I got 1 last night after 2-3 hour long runs just flying and gathering.
This is the way.
I now sell everything as next week, it is probably cheaper to pay to craft rather than saving my mats.
Bismuth is needed in massive bulk by jcs.
I dont know how much I spent yesterday in anticipation of making my pally’d 619 sword. Between materials and enchants. One set of mats was 53k for 8 of them. Then enchants are insane wanting 30-40k for 3*
I think the biggest offender is requiring null stones for sharpening/weight stones. That is just absurd.
Dude, some blacksmith wanted 35 gold from me just to answer a question. I was like “What?!”
Forget that.
Later I got a COD letter in the mail from him asking for 10 gold just for talking to me.
It’s ~40g for all of NA, not just your server. Back in late shadowlands they merged the auction houses so that most mats and consumables are region-wide. Pretty much only non-stacking things like gear and mounts are still realm-specific.
The buff to whetstone crafting honestly ignored so much. Null stone was the biggest issue with them, but sure leave that in. Don’t worry about the fact that there’s no ironclaw in the ironclaw whetstone either. Weapon oil is already crafted in groups of 5, but sure make the whetstones be 4.
make your evoker your miner and focus on filling the bismuth + aqirite specs and you’ll get a decent amount if using the perception phial.
I’m max on my monk in both mining, and I’m almost maxed on Bismuth. Null Stones aren’t hard to find, I was talking about Profaned Tinderboxes.
It’s genuinely absurd that it takes Null Stones. Granted, once people start maxing mining nodes, there will be an influx of them, but compare them to Algari Mana Oils which is just 5 dust and some generic gathering mats +1 extra is just a really odd choice. It’s nice we get 4 now, but why not 5 and just require Ironclaw and a generic ore/bar?
Just have your guild send you orders and craft those for skillups, and/or send orders to your alts or guildies’ requests by supplying mats for their orders! Win win!
That way, you don’t break the bank and can just farm up the mats yourself!
yea, dont do those…
Gotta actively farm those, bit annoying to spam low tier delves for em tho.
I wish I had the luck. I’ve done so many delves where I get basic mats, but everyone in the group is getting tinderboxes, oils, etc. Just my luck lol.
For sure, I’ll just send myself crafting orders to finish the weekly quest but still… it’s knowledge points that are too expensive to obtain.
Blizz supply and demand rules apply. The Null stones are too much in demand for their availability. The drop rate needs to be increased drastically. In the real world economy manufacturers would find an alternative and the Null Stone would crash. We cannot do that unless you modify the recipes.
So please fix this issue, and it is indeed an issue.
Kind of wish they got rid of rank1 mats and just went with normal and high quality.
Rank1’s in dragonflight basically stopped existing after a certain gather level and often rank2’s were cheaper and more plentiful. Getting rid of them would also help the bagspace economy.
But then they decided to double-down on rank1’s and make them still drop 90% of the time even at the maximum gather-skill level while removing critical crafts in favor of slowly recharging resource that you can only make use of a few times per week which caused rank3 stuff to skyrocket in price.
Doesn’t help that the economy is whack, 5k in mats sells for 200g, unless it’s rank3 with concentration then it sells for 5.5k
People get full null stones when they fill out the branches in the trees - a few more weeks and the null stone problem will disappear.
see above once this happens there will be 5 times the amount of stones available if not more
with regionwide auction house this is literally impossible to do lol
for certain things but not for the rarer ones
