When using the blacksmithing table, the crafting order tab is grayed out and says, “You must be near a crafting table for your profession to access Crafting Orders.”
I am able and have made several items as a test with this tab still unavailable.

Why is no one talking about this? This is a game breaking bug. Can we get a reply here from someone wtf
Edit: So it turns it that it’s very poorly worded. You don’t need to be near a crafting table for your profession, you need to be near the very specific Crafting Order table for your profession. This text needs to be fixed.

The reply above is incorrect. You need to click on your professions’ facility (in Blacksmithing’s case, it’s an Anvil) to access crafting orders. Meaning the OP is correct. It is a bug. Blacksmiths cannot fill crafting orders until this bug is fixed.
Temporary workaround - The anvil at Camp Anotonidas in Azure Span does have the crafting order tab lit up/useable.
However I agree with OP - not having the anvils working in Valdraken is a major pain and needs to be corrected.

There is literally a table next to the forge in Valdrakken you can click and use for blacksmith crafting orders. I am not incorrect as I use this table and it works fine.
Most of the other professions never had crafting tables so any of those new tables work for those professions but most forges/anvils do not work since not all of them are also crafting order tables. It has to be the new table that is next to the other forges.

There is no table for me anywhere in Valdraken. This is a bug and needs to be fixed. I checked with other blacksmiths in the area and only two of them had a table.

I’m experiencing the same. Can’t access my personal crafting orders in Valdrakken.
The Blacksmith Tables in Valdrakken are in the area behind the Mining trainer and his big practice rock pile. Yes it is odd they are behind the Mining trainer and not the Blacksmith trainer. But they are definitely there.

There are already perfectly valid blacksmithing crafting tables in Valdrakken. You just need to recognize them.
The reason blacksmiths are limited to the above-mentioned tables is because Blizzard wants everyone to have to use Valdrakken for fulfilling crafting orders. The fact you can use any anvil to otherwise normally craft Dragonflight wares is essentially a profession perk that blacksmiths have which no one else does.
The Blacksmithing Tables in Valdrakken, which I normally use with no issue, have decided that they will not provide themselves as available for crafting (I must instead go to an anvil for normal crafting) and therefore, I cannot access Crafting Orders in Valdrakken. This is as of today, which means something probably got busted in maintenance. I will reiterate for the people choosing not to listen: This is normally not a problem, I have only come across it as of today and have otherwise used the Artisan’s tables in Valdrakken with no issue.
