So I can create an R5 of this with a little concentration. When a guildy put in an order to recraft this from R4 to R5 I couldn’t do it. I can’t figure out why. I can do R5 from first craft but only R4 on a recraft. Anyone have any ideas as to why?

Recrafts have to make up for using lower-grade materials if they were used in the original crafting, and can’t replace 100% of lower-grade mats at a single recraft. It can take up to three recrafts with all top materials to replace all all lower-grade mats in the input item.

Skill bonuses missing in Recraft Items in Crafting Orders

I can clarify this. This particular aspect of skill bonuses is a bit fiddly to avoid making it advantageous to simply craft something with all Q1 reagents, and then recraft it with all Q3 and get full skill when doing so. If that worked, we would often do that, as the recraft takes somewhere around 40% of the reagents in the original craft…yes it also takes Artisan’s Mettle, but not much.
