The culprit is Moonsteel Broadsword.
crafted 4, still 0/4 for the quest; cant be completed.

Mental, weird i thought they just updated the item like they did with a bunch of other crafts, not make an alternate pattern. 
Ok, so apparently the person who sells the pattern needed for the original also sells the new pattern, both named the same thing? This is just insidiously stupid on the Dev teams part.

Only reason I’m aware of this despite not being a blacksmith or a 2H user myself is because the Jarl Needs a Blade quest had the same snafu. They updated the sword to have useful stats, but gave it a whole new ID (probably in case someone freaked out about wanting the old versions of things)… but then didn’t seem to care about the fact quests are ID specific.
At some point they updated the quest for Jarl later to use the new recipe, not the old, so I’m sure this one will get changed at some point. If you’re doing it now though, best to use try the old recipe first and to track the quest as you go.
Good news, looks like the problem was fixed today.
