Blackrock Raid Too Hard

The health pools seem way too high on these bosses and damage is way too high even on normal for a whole raid of 615+. Nerfs please.

It’s most definitely overtuned, I think it’s more a scaling issue than anything, though. The mechanics are very simple, but the enrage timer is tight. My guild was able to kill the first boss on heroic after about 5 or 6 wipes. We wiped a few times on the second boss then decided to just wait until next week because there’s obviously going to be a tuning pass. I’ve heard that guilds of full mythic track CE raiders are having trouble. Also, a couple of our healers were complaining that some of their heals were just flat out doing less, so some numbers somewhere are definitely wrong.

Luckily you can still get all the weekly credit from lfr so it’s not a bronze loss.

ilvl doesn’t mean anything on it’s own. There’s people with 615 ilvl doing 500k dps and others who do 1.5 mil.

okay, we were also 900k+ dps ST and it still took 3x as long as normal nerub’ar bosses with 2x the damage. Many unavoidables doing 70-90% of our hp. The normal difficulty of BRD is about the same difficulty as heroic nerubar (maybe even harder tbh). Since the loot from BRD is same ilvl->difficulty ratio, they should be equally scaled.

I haven’t even bothered with heroic BRD yet. I don’t think that would legitimately be possible for anyone.

Possible, yes. Reasonable? Absolutely not.

1.4 million damage every second raid wide for 7 seconds when he does upheaval. Almost 10 million damage, even with 40% AOE DR that still pops cheat death without extra heals. I’m 626 ilvl mind you. Classes without huge reduction CDs are on the floor if healers aren’t pumping 1.1 million HPS across the board during that.

For a “fun timewalking event”, this whole thing is just turning into a reason to walk away from the game. I’m getting sick of everything needing to one shot me just to get some designer’s sadist rocks off.

Sounds like BRD should be mythic gear then lol.

In all honestly sounds absurd. If it drops hero gear it should be heroic raid tailored, normal gear and so forth.

If people 620ilvl and higher are having serious problems even clearing partial Heroic BRD then they need to nerf it.

It feels more like mythic nerub than heroic. I’ve read that Normal BRD feels like heroic tuned.

I just experience something weird in LFR, where the bosses where dying in a couple of secodns to the tanks, so fast that I couldn’t get near the bosses or get a shot off for the first two.

LFR BRD is not level restricted and can be used to level low level characters. Meaning, sub-level 50 characters are coming in and have absolutely worst I’ve ever seen levels of bonkers scaling. Had a 43 DK in the one LFR I jumped into that did a billion and change damage on the last boss.

Yeah, the difficulty is pretty overtuned right now. The heroic version is harder than heroic NP lol

I don’t understand why people think that high Ilvl translates to high DPS. You can be max ilvl and still have garbage stats and do less than 500k DPS.

TIL: Ony is in BRD. Jokes are supposed to be funny. Learn the game

the raid is over tuned when i am struggling at 620 no reason. first boss is gate keeping alot of groups.

The challenge is good but it’s just not good for the reward it gives, needing a raid group of 615+ for something that rewards you with 593-603 gear? Hard pass

The boss encounters are actually wild on heroic. On the seven you can’t even see your screen with how many bullet hell abilities you need to dodge.

Like, my goodness. I don’t think anyone is going to find that fight fun. It’s like the entire raid is designed around dodging stuff 90% of the fights

The loot reward is also hilariously low for heroic. With the difficulty it should be dropping 620+ hero track or even 1/6 mythic track.

Heroic mechanically was a lot of fun but health and damage numbers need some adjustment, just not so much that the kill times / lethality of mechanics are reduced to the point the fights no longer feel engaging, which is always a risk with timewalking content.

It’s mostly the whirlwind from gloom rel, which is on the tanks to manage properly more than anyone else. Seethe Rel (The Frost Mage) does some periodic blizzards and a “Spread with circles” mechanic at the end of their active time too.

It was definitely fun deciphering the encounters and devising strats, but it didn’t feel like it was tuned for people looking for 610 ilvl gear.

Or, in the case of M+, you can have a high ilvl and still be a complete moron and have no idea how a dungeon/boss works. Ilvl is pretty easy to get for alts.

I agreed it is super over-tuned. Cant even get passed first boss had him down to 8% last pull in Heroic. Heals were 620+, tanks were 620+. Most DPS was over 1.7mil over and still wiped even when mechanics were done correctly.
