Im not changing my name. I shouldn’t have to change my name because mods feel like I need to serve a life sentence on the blacklist for leaving a raid after a SR back in tbc is great punishment. I’ve already admitted to what I did. I tried to apologize to a person who I didn’t want to apologize to in the first place and the mods still want to keep me on this list.
You don’t have to change your name, but they also don’t have to remove your name from the list.
At the end, that’s a community made rule and they’re free to enforce them as long as it respect the Blizzard rules. It’s not like blacklist are something new. Sure they can be badly enforced but you could blame Blizzard in a way as the community have to step in when they feel that Blizzard can’t do their job to enforce some stuff. You basically got a bad review on yelp and it’s not going away.
That’s actually still a good idea.
Classic now has the wow token.
/Spit was the right move but too little too late
They should. Do you feel like justice is being served by keeping someone on their blacklist for almost a year now over something that happened back in TBC. Keep in mind we’re in p3 of wotlk and I’m still getting pinged for something I openly admitted to and tried to appeal to.
Anything community ram always ends up turning corrupted over time when the wrong people get ahold of power. Look at how the classic hardcore scene ended up.
This isn’t about a justice but retribution xd
I wouldn’t put myself in that situation as that wouldn’t happen unless emergency.
Sure they could have a better system, but like I said this is a fanmade system you can’t expect it to be perfect. Blizzard could have a rep system ingame which would remove the need for that type of addon, but then they’d actually would kind of support this type of thing. So there’s not much to be done.
Why did you leave when you got your SR up to where you got put on a blacklist?
Past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. People are right to be concerned about you.
The servers are too big to have a real server reputation to where your reasoning may have made sense and others may have understood you. That’s part of the problem. This is clearly a player-created tool created to weed out those who exhibit bad behavior. It’s unlikely Blizzard is going to remove it.
I don’t know what the addon says but if it says you took your SR and dipped and that’s the truth, well then it’s still accurate. If not then that sucks but it also doesn’t seem like you’re willing to take all the steps you can to help yourself. You don’t seem to be willing to find groups run by people who aren’t using that addon, talk to whoever this person is, change your name, server transfer, or reroll. You’re just asking for an addon to be banned that probably won’t be and talking to the blacklist people who aren’t taking your side.
Oh no the consequences of my own actions?! You sound soooo sincere and not at all deserving of being on that list lol
Yes. Your actions have consequences.
A blacklist that warns others of the bad actors in the community is not that. Judging by your post history, I’m guessing there’s more to the story here other than just leaving after a SR.
There is a blacklist addon? How do I get on it? I want to level my alts in peace.
you live by the scam you die by the scam
I can’t believe a bunch of sweaty nerds made an addon to harass you
Blizzard should handle this immediately
Putting people on lists is not cool
People who do the things that get them blacklisted are the only ones who can be made an example of. Make a new character or change your name. You made the mistake. Own it and make changes to who you are and your character if you want to be able to play with others again.
Only thing is… I didn’t scam anyone.
Yeah a life sentence on the blacklist. No appeals what so ever.
There’s nothing more to this story. I literally went to a ZA. SR’d the Amani War Bear. Got the Amani War Bear. Left. I took accountability for it, but now that this has became an on-going issue for almost a year. I don’t have any remorse for how the leader of that group had handled himself and you wonder why I feel like addons like these that are community driven are corrupted. You sound crazy saying that I should be forced to serve a life sentence over leaving after an sr. I haven’t done anything like that since the incident had occurred and I don’t understand why people like you think that what happened in the past is a reflection of future actions. You’ll be a sheep your whole life till you realize that not every person on the blacklist is a bad player.
and now you’re in the so called “find out” phase of your wow career
This response here really doesn’t show any remorse at all. You don’t even seem to realize doing that to a group completely ruins the run and a full week for a reset a long time. Paying a small amount of money to name change is a pretty small punishment. You did what you did and I wouldn’t want you in my group again if you did it to me and my team.
More than half of your posts are you tying to appeal some form of punishment for toxic behavior.
You tarnished your own name, and instead of accepting the consequences, paying for a name change included, you would rather cancel someone/something else…
Toxic to the core, gonna be a “No” from me dawg…
Ty for sharing. I didnt know about this and will be installing asap. Little ninjas and the ppl that are to good to stay for the raid duratuon need to be shared. Great idea and implimentation of an addon.
Nice to know that half of you guys replying are mods from the Faerlina discord. Looks like Faerlina has lost another player. Hello Benediction.
Good luck, I heard benediction also use a blacklist.
sounds like someone who got blacklisted is hitting some consequences for their actions.
