Blackhand's Breadth lost...suggestions?

So I switched from Deep Prot to Fury Prot about a month ago, and when I went to get my Blackhand’s Breadth out of the bank it was missing. Neither of the other two quest items were there either so it wasn’t that. I contacted a GM, and long story short they said there is nothing they can do because it was deleted too long ago. My fault 100%.

Any suggestions as far as what to do about itemizing around this mess-up? We have a long list for Drake Fang Talisman so I won’t be getting that anytime soon. Any creative workarounds? Or am I just SOL lol?

Unfortunately the classic gms really can’t do much you may very well be sol.

Best advice I can offer is keep opening tickets and hope you find a gm who can help you

Use diamond flask and maybe rune of the guard captain when on CD. Rune still not as good as blackhands though.

all you can do is reroll or wait for DFT
or perhaps you can convince the guild to bump you to the top of the list because tank priority

You will be fine, replace it with rune of the guard captain until you get DFT

Nothing you can do but ask the guild for priority on drake fang since your blackhand is gone. Nice guilds might do it. If they don’t care about you… then probably not. Don’t expect Blizzard’s worthless support to do anything.

I took the armor trinket b/c it’s bis for bear tanking, but I find myself playing cat much more often and regret not having BB. I picked up the Darkmoon Card: Maelstrom for some extra DPS. Still haven’t got the extra attack trinket out of BRD. DFT is definitely what we’re all shooting for, though.

Use the auto item restore page, if it was deleted in the last couple weeks itll show up there. If not, its probably just lost in your bags. Worst case flask is better on CD anyway, or the OP horde trinket if you’re horde. Black hands isnt that great to begin with

Here’s the thing.

If your ability to tank is broken just because of one trinket, being 2% short on crit, then you really need to rethink what you’re doing. It’s never just a matter of one specific item.

Is blackhands breadth good? Obviously. Are there other trinkets that can still help you tank? Yes. If you’re using a shield, there’s styleens scarab. You’ve also got several very good trinkets coming up from ZG and AQ that help with survivability. All blackhands breadth really does for tanks is help you keep threat: If you have no issues keeping threat, then you really don’t need it.

Rune of the Guard Captain + Hand of Justice for threat.
Rune + Mark of the Chosen for dungeons.
Rune + Lifegiving Gem for BWL tanking.
Rune + whatever for MC tanking.

This is actually higher dps against shorter boss fights anyway.

Pretty sure its higher dps on almost every boss fight as long as the cooldown is up. Maaaybe Razor or Nef you could make an argument for Blackhands

Depends on your guild’s clear times. BB/Hoj is higher dps for any fight that lasts longer than 3 minutes according to fightclub

And most of those fights you can use it before fight starts and then just switch to BB and HoJ anyway after you get the buff
