Can anyone tell me about the Blacker Lotus node over at Light’s Hope Chapel? Specifically: does it work like a regular herbalism node, such than it has an herbalism level requirement and can only be clicked by ONE player?
I saw one random website claiming that, when it appears, it stays up and clickable by others for around 15 seconds after the first person uses it.
If it’s the latter, it might be worth camping for me. But if it’s just like any other herb, there’s no effing way I’m going to bother, cuz my server/realm/shard always has at least 3-4 people camping it.
I think it works like any other mineral or herb node these days, which means it’s lootable by up to 10(?) people within 15 seconds of being gathered the first time. Even other classic era herb and mineral nodes were retrofitted to have this behavior. If there’s only 3-4 other people camping it you should be fine.
Edit: According to Wowhead, it doesn’t have any skill level requirement other than being an herbalist.
Thanks… sure wish there was consistent info on this. But with different phases of the game over time (Classic, Retail, Remix, etc), there’s 9 different “true” answers to sift through. Also, I just learned today that ore/herb nodes did this! Yah!
The blacker lotus was added in Legion, so it doesn’t exist in any WoW Classic flavor. Also, even though Legion remix is a thing, you can’t actually learn gathering professions in it. This means it’s retail only.
