Blackened Defias Armor

As we all know, the Defias Leather set has been removed from the loot table in DM. That being said, players who still have that armor on their characters today I’m sure would love to have it added to their leather appearance collection.

Another thing we all know is that Hunters, Shamans, Warriors, and Paladins no longer have to reach level 40 to train for armor proficiency, they just get it at level 1.

So basically, my issue is that my hunter has the 5/5 Defias Leather set equipped, but hunters can’t add leather to the appearance collection, just like a rogue couldn’t add cloth, etc. Hunters used Blackened Defias just as much as any other leather wearer did back then. Would it be a sin to grant players the Defias appearance if they have the armor? It would be such a unique set to have and at the end of the day, it’s a harmless cosmetic change.

tl;dr
My hunter has 5 piece Defias Leather set and I would like it to be added to my appearances for all my leather wearers to use, or at the very least just rogues.

I can support this. You collected the set when hunters first wore leather before mail. If you still have this set in your bank/void, Blizz should allow it. They need to loosen up in xmog, like legendaries. DHs are allowed to mog the warglaives now that Legion is over, let all legendaries be mog’d. I’d also like to see more titles the Lord/Lady of War go accountwide.

I would like to see them add that set back into the game. And make the red defias mask a green item that unlocks the transmog. Seriously, that would be great.

You can get the sets look by doing a secret quest in deadmines. You can look up how to unlock it on wowhead.

Have you tried the hidden outlaw quest at deadmines? If I remember well both sets have the same appearance.

Wow. I had no idea. Thank you!!

no thats not fair to me. hunters cant learn leather

This is what you are looking for.
You just need a Rogue, a parrot and a bit of free time to run an instance.

Really I think each armor class should be able to mog one armor class under their normal one, so warriors could mog mail, shamans could mog leather, rogues could mog cloth, etc. It’s still within the realm of reason and it would open plate and mail wearers up to a much larger variety of appearances, closer to the number of appearances that cloth wearers already enjoy.

Besides, my hunter and shaman want to wear leather appearances because it’s easier to come up with something that looks like a hunter or shaman might wear it with leather than it is with mail.

Then what would cloth get in the way of extras? Nothing?
That hardly seems fair.

There’s plenty of unused color variations and such that could be unlocked for cloth to make up the difference.

EDIT: Alternatively, cloth users could be given the option of mogging leather, which would be a bit weird but not game-breaking.
