Today I started the quest line Whispers of N’Zoth, once completing the part at the tavern of mists I tried entering Blackwing Descent and it would trigger the Sleepless Interrogator but straight after it assigns me to kill the dude, he despawns!
Every time I have tried to fight him he’d despawn… even abandoned the quest and picked it up again but no dice.
Is there anything to be done here to solve this? I heard from another player that the quest did have phasing issues but not this intense, it’s basically not able to be finished.

I’ve got the same problem. Spent the better part of an hour and a half trying to figure out a way to fix it and no dice.

Same issue. Managed to hit the Interrogator, but still phased me out. Combat doesn’t matter. So guess this is getting shelved until it’s fixed. -.-
Good thing for this post because I tried flying away and coming back and trying to pull him from a distance and always despawns. I guess i will park myself here for the night and hopefully it works tomorrow when i log on.

I took the time to do all the other quests in the heart chamber on the off chance that one of them might have been a requirement to complete this quest. But even after completing all the phases that popped virtually at the same time as this quest for me, I still could not complete the quest when I tried it a second time.

Quest is also bugged for me. Interrogator never spawns.
I spent about three hours trying to finish this opened a ticket and sent a bug report. Heard back about my ticket this morning and the GM that responded talked about Classic loot and gave me a link to the EU forums. And I tried again this morning before reset and was still having the same issue of despawning when I got close
I logged on Tuesday evening and the quest completed correctly. I hope it is working for everyone else.
