Is it always at midnight est that all of the auctions expire?
I vaguely remember a time when all the items had different durations left.
As someone who works during the day as I am sure most players do now, it seems like only a small portion of the player base is able to get these items because lets face it… the bid system only works for people online those last 5 mins…
May I suggest a blind bid system or yet again make the durations random or staggered.
I think it would be better if they just dumped an entire weeks worth of items up there at once, removed the gold cap, and let the auctions last for an entire week, we’d see some serious amounts of gold flying around then lol
BMAH due for a good overhaul. It hasn’t been update for a long time. Not only the items that appear that needs a change, the prices and the gold cap needs a change as well.
This also was suggested quite a bit of time. Auctions always ending at the same time every day gives huge advantage to people who can be there when the auction ends, it also enables bots and RMT to manipulate the BMAH.
I think the rotating merchant they’re trying out right now is the best option.
I also think it should rotate faster than 8 months though. Maybe hang around for a week? Month?

I think something like this should be how the BMAH is revamped, honestly, if it ever gets a revamp. Just list a limited quantity to the vendors, like vendors who sell a single pattern or recipe before going on a cooldown, and set a timeframe for it to rotate between the items. The really rare items could still be priced at gold cap like they’d reach on the BMAH today-- like the bruto mount-- and the cooldown would still ensure some amount of elusiveness or rarity to the items, but would also allow more people to obtain them as well.

To be fair it also works for those able to hit it first with gold cap bid. I think instead of an auction it should be a vendor that has a limited supply that rotates throughout the day. But since I’ve only bid once or twice it’s not my first issue to be fixed.
