uh, era has no problems bud this is all an anniversary thing
Back in 2005 there were no servers with 600 raiding guilds and 30000 active raiders:
https://ironforge.pro/population/anniversary/
There were 122 servers in NA. There was an average of less than 150 TOTAL guilds on each server: https://www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/8kcgtt/the_real_list_of_59_useu_guilds_that_cleared_naxx
So ~150 guilds with a raiding population of an average of, idk, 50-60 with bench/reserve players, let’s say 9000 player cleared Naxx.
9000 players playing at a level of “needing” flasks with 195 servers worth of lotus to pick. You can even multiply that number of people by 10 or 20 and there’s still a higher supply of Black Lotus pr raider in 2005 than on current anniversary servers.
Before the “change” (and Blizzard hasn’t been forthcoming as to what this is, and no one seems to be able to point to a “change” at all) there were exactly FOUR black lotus spawning on each exceptionally densely populated layer every hour. Each layer holds more than 10x the population than a single server in 2005.
Nowadays, an individual WoW Classic realm can hold many more players at a single time than ever before. For our new fresh Anniversary realms, we’re limiting the total number of realms to choose from at launch to only 1 of each ruleset (Normal (PvE), PvP, and Hardcore).
And THAT is the problem. It isn’t that herbalists suddenly became mindless idiots wandering around aimlessly “durrr… where do the lotus come from?” The TRUTH is there just simply aren’t enough. That’s the math of it.
There is, in fact, a lotus famine. So my POINT is that posts trying to blame the population for Blizzard’s screw up are asinine.
Yeah I agree the issue is supply/demand.
That is a “price on AH” issue though, not a “farming lotuses” issue.
He’s also talking about a time when maybe 2 people in a raid had a flask on
Versus now, believes all of these guilds are fully flasked
There’s also a mindset most have that you need to flask. That’s not anyone’s problem but their own thp
no there isn’t.
There definitely is.
The mindset of “ I need a flask every raid” is by far and away higher here than any server we have had yet
Not that that’s a problem, it’s just a mindset bigger than the current landscape. Hence the lotus crying
The saying “gotta pay to play” is timeless
Huh? Okay so what price is gromsblood… that’s a common herb.
It ain’t no 20G lol.
you need to get better at farming gold
When I was doing my Benediction quest a couple weeks ago there were two priests there and both had flasks to do the quest lol. Completely unneeded.
Youre so out of touch on this topic rofl.
LOL the Eyr special…
Gets completely bodied on their irrelevant useless point and reverts to a non factor that has nothing to do with the topic.
There is 0% chance you should have max level herbs going for 20s ea and then have 1 herb go for 150g rofl.
Picking a lotus should be rare but it should cost around 25-40g.
some herbs being worthless and black lotus being 100g+ is nothing new this is standard vanilla stuff
Im not talking lvl10 herbs.
Black lotus is a lvl60 herb So is plaguebloom and the other herbs around Lotus.
You should never have a resource cost that much gold from farming.
lots of high level herbs are worthless too on whitemane i can’t even sell golden sansam for 20 silver.
Golden sansam could drop once a day per server and it would sell for nothing.
It’s a useless herb.
I thought you played the game?
Nice major health pot bro
Era is dead, no one cares about era.
Golden Sansam is also worthless lmfao.
what’s wrong with major health pots
It takes 30 Gromsblood for one Titan’s. Compared to Black Lotus, that’s a 30:1 ratio. It’s definitely not useless, and yet it costs a handful of silver.
that is odd usually gromsblood costs a few gold. i guess it’s in the dumps on nightslayer because everyone is constantly farming for those blasted land pots where gromsblood is common
