Very Omnious
I woulda figured something like a million screaming voices accompanied by a sustained and guttural bass guitar roar. Reality is a series of disappointments.
Yes. Listening to the very fabric of space being torn apart is rather disappointing….
There is no sound in space guys, you will die in silence
Unless you’re in an EVA suit. Then you will die audience to your own screams as you drift forever in your coffin.
I think it’s cool that the family of James Doohan, better known as Scotty from Star Trek, had his ashes launched up to the International Space Station.
But as for black holes, they suck.
It’s not really a sound we can hear, and that’s just something they made that we can.
honestly sounds more alive then anything. like a giant inky black creature of the void.
Whoah that would be sO mEtAl
Sounds like a cosmic whale. I wonder if the unnerved sensation that gave me is how krill feel when they hear whale songs?
Either way it was beautiful and terrifying at the same time.
I like to imagine there are old gods residing in black holes
Black holes are just a creepy, scary but fascinating study that really began around 1960’s when they discovered Cygnus, a black hole approx 60 times the size of our sun. 60 times. Think about that, but don’t freak out, it’s over 7k light years away.
Space science is a waste of money, so NASA has to come up with gimmicks like this “sound of a black hole” thing to pique public interest.
Its the next frontier…worth researching
NASA is the ONE government program/agency that has returned its investment in spades. If not for the space race we might not have progressed to the point we are now as rapidly as we have. The sheer number of technologies derived from it are numerous. Personally NASA should have more funding.
What sound does a dog make?
Woof!
What sound does a cow make?
Moo!
What sound does the Perseus cluster Black Hole make?
Demented Old Gods wailing for our damnation!
Have you heard of a White Hole?
No serious… it’s a real thing. It’s the other side of the Black Hole. A universe is sucked through the Black Hole and goes out a White Hole into a newborn universe.
