Do I have this right? We are still paying a subscription on a 20-year-old MMO. We pay triple-A game prices for every expansion. And now black, Friday the one time of year you would think there would be a sale. There is literally nothing for us.
It is actually mind-boggling that none of the in game services are on sale right now. Me and a couple of friends that came back recently after a several expansion layoff have been waiting for black friday to purchase some in game services and maybe even some bundles.
I’m old enough to remember black friday would have had everything at least fifty percent off. It’s 2024 and we get nothing?
We shall wait and see if we get something for Cyber Monday. Or maybe they will add stuff to the sale on Friday. This is a very bad sign for how modern blizzard treats it’s customers. We want to give you money. Please, let us.
If memory serves me correctly, game services usually go on sale at the end of the year… I was also hoping they would be on the black friday deal…
And honestly at this point.,. they really should just let us change them in game for a bit of gold… nothing crazy mind you. maybe 50k or so… I can magically switch from male to female or vice versa, I should be able to swap races and even factions in game.

Exactly, worst black friday from any of the companies i cared about. That’s it im not buying ANYTHING well done blizzard. You didnt gain money with not giving wow players anything, you lost trust me.
Character services being as expensive as they are is kind of ridiculous to begin with. People used to complain about how egregious the prices were just for a transfer, race change, or name change. Nowadays it seems they’ve been overpriced for so long that people just accept it… which is a little silly.
They could have discounted TWW, but they also did not do that with DF…
Fun fact, D4 expansion is discounted, but it is still too much for a new class and follower system.
Sub has not been raised in 20 years, so there is your discount! Just look at Amazon or Netflix, we pay twice as much today than when they started their service and quite frankly, the quality has gone down so much there that it´s a slap in the face of everyone if we consider that they also show commercials now.
If there is one thing you can not criticize Blizz for than it is the sub price, which is more than just fair.
Yes, and that’s not likely to change. Nor should it. Development of World of Warcraft is expensive. Everything from cinematics, characters, zones, terrain, system mechanics, the works. That all has to be paid for, and the easiest way for Blizzard to ensure it is, is to charge a premium for access to the service.
If you can’t accept that there are plenty of other MMOs out there that are available without a subscription cost. MMOs like Guild Wars 2 for example.
There’s plenty available in the Black Friday Sale right now. Just because you don’t find that stuff useful, doesn’t mean it isn’t there. What is useful to people will change depending on the person.

This is far from the first Black Friday sale which hasn’t discounted services or in-game MTX like shops and mounts.
If you get one of the deluxe versions of the expansions i guess? Otherwise no.
Be cool if some WoW stuff went on sale for the folks that wanna buy though.

That’s a pretty long-winded way of saying nothing is on sale for a World of Warcraft. Again, you are on the World of Warcraft forums talking to World of Warcraft players.
Idk they offer deals for in game stuff every few months it seems. Them not offering it specifically when you want them to offer it isn’t really their problem to solve.
