So like two days ago my character selection screen turned black with no characters… its really confusing and if i hit change server it says im disconnected… im super confused.

Try a UI Reset and boot the game up with no addons, see if that helps.
just figured it out, apparently its an issue with a nj isp lol

Also in NJ, and having the same exact problem.
Get the “logging in” screen, but character select screen only shows realm name and info on left. no characters and background is completely black. Same for retail and classic.
NJ as well. Also having the same issue.
Have Verizon Fios… pretty annoyed as I was trying to get stuff done before reset…
