On Wednesday I got one Black Blood Coagulate and on Thursday it got reset to zero. On Thursday I got two Black Blood Coagulates and today, Friday, it was again reset to zero. Do I really have to get 8 in a day to complete this quest or is this a bug?
This sounds pretty similar to a bug that plagued the Sparks of War world pvp weekly for a time after 11.0.5 or 11.0.7 launched, can’t remember which. Basically, if you logged out at all while on the quest, your entire progress was reset.
I know this issue didn’t affect the quest for the lesser corruption enchants, so it may only be related to the one that unlocked this week.

FWIW I didn’t experience this and I completed the quest over two days.

The quest items are Warbound. Did you perhaps accidentally deposit them in your Warbank? The deposit all button on the Warbank would likely pick it up given this status.

Thanks for the suggestion. Just checked and they are not in the Warbank or regular bank. Are they sellable? Maybe I accidently sold them.
The count for the quest is specific to each character, not account-wide, so if you look on a character that doesn’t have the items in their inventory, their count will be zero.
Since they’re warband-bound, you may have mailed them to a different character and forgotten.
Just did a vision and got 2 more bloods - and they have a sell price. So I absent-mindedly sold the earlier ones and they are not on the restorable list. So 3 bloods is how much my idiot tax cost.
Makes sense. Stackable items can’t be item restored, so it’s worth paying close attention to those when items we don’t expect to be able to be sold are, well, sellable.
