Just imagine how fun and alive the game would feel if you could just play on any server at any time regardless of your servers’ population/faction balance and always find people running around the open world and forming groups without having the need to spend 25 bucks to transfer off to a server with a bigger population or dominated by your faction on top of the monthly 15 just to be able to play with someone else.
But hey! Gotta keep an archaic design so “muh community” can have “muh social experience” for some reason
Too late for that.
They did arthas wrong. He left as…a blue fart. Even garrosh got a better send off. They jsut gave it to the intern for post production edit/video encoding lol.
There are a bunch of sock puppets in this thread. A couple goofballs are self stimulating with them… that is just gross.
All I want to know is WHY this thread? It’s weird.
I guess you find it very interesting and want to draw attention to it and yourself. I guess I get it… but it’s still weird.
Cuz they are in way over their heads. Pretty sure Blizzard was hoping we all would have quit Classic by now and gone back to retail. Sucks for them, we all still like it.
“You think you do. but you don’t”.
Actually Blizzard… I do.
I would be so down
What? What the heck are you talking about man, no one I’ve ever met threatens or degrades people who don’t accept random invites. I tend to decline them myself and usually people will then whisper me “hey, the invite was for x, you down?”. Never been “threatened”, that’s wild dude. No joke if that has actually happened to you I suggest transferring off benediction to a real server. If there was any server that could happen on, it’s toxic bene.
People have threatened, people have called me names, people have told me to drink bleach, people have degraded me.
I have the screenshots, and each person has been properly reported for their actions.
I’m genuinely happy that you haven’t experienced it.
If you hover over my name, you’ll see that I’m on Pagle, not Benediction.
If they enable Cross-Realm Everything as OP suggests what difference does it make on what server you roll or wether one is locked?
Wow pagle alliance is toxic af.
I think that’s kinda the point? By implementing this, it wouldn’t matter as much, so the issue of locked servers wouldn’t be as much of a problem.
That would make a decent point if the person I was responding to did not emphasize that “locked servers are not okay”… meaning he dislikes servers being locked…Cross realm enabling does mean he can now suddenly roll on a locked server.
Id 100% prefer cross-realm everything, I personally dont see the reason why not too- It wouldnt damage anything from what I can really tell, Having the ability to party up with your friends from other realms and do Dungeons, Heroics- or even RAIDING would make life 100x better! We had so many folks that transferred off that would still raid with us to this day if that was a thing!
Depends on why he thinks locked servers aren’t okay. If its because he cant play with his friends, then cross server play would solve that issue for him, so he wouldn’t care at that point
It’s hilarious to me that we’ve reached the point where people are asking for cross realm everything in Classic WoW and actually getting support.
I agree but I think it should only be for instanced content… You shouldn’t be able to be out in the world on another realm, etc.
I’d be fine with this as it covers the most important aspects of the game that require a large pool of people (i.e. dungeons, raids, arena).
That said, there are two other issues that would be solved by phasing together certain realms. Those being, the Auction House and World PvP. Even on Eranikus (where my alt is currently trapped (which is supposed to be a lively and well populated server)), the AH is dead. Gems are hard to find and extremely expensive. I spent two days looking for a belt buckle and a few enchants. It was a pain. Also, it would be awesome if like Benediction and let’s say Faerlina would phase together so the world wasn’t so one-sided.
Again, you are correct that the most important is instanced content. Not wrong there!
This was always the problem with crz, and what ruined the feel of the game. It wasnt cross realm itself, it was the lack of consistency of the world and the people you were playing with due to rng cross realm systems
Exactly… And I think its a nice middle ground that still solves the main problem we are facing with servers, etc. Its funny when you think about the fact that blizzard recognizes people on lower pop servers have trouble finding arena or bg groups, yet somehow the same doesnt go for PVE content? I think someone said it on another thread but its almost as if blizzard thinks the only way pve content is fun / rewarding is if you struggle to find groups for it first…
I definitely think there is some charm to taking time in finding a group, but that shouldn’t stem from lack of options.
I also think, for pve, its a bit more nuanced than just make a cross realm system. One thing i realised in another thread is, especially for older dungeons, theres often a short, open world dungeon area with elites just before the actual dungeons, so how does a cross realm group actually get through that?
One option, I think, is to make it so theres something near the meeting stones (which are usually very solo accessible) that players can use to zone directly into the instance.
Id rather actually find a group, and miss out on the “delving into” part of the experience, vs not find a group at all and eventually get frustrated and quit the game… But thats just me.
But I get you… Theres a lot to consider. Unfortunately I dont think blizzard agrees with me. They seem to think most realms have a “healthy population”, but the math doesnt lie, more players = more opportunities… Its the same way big cities will always lead to more job opportunities IRL vs a tight nit small town.
