Bit of a Struggle with Arcane

You’d be more informed about this stuff if you actually joined the discord, though.

All of the info on your troubles is there, but I guess dooming here is the prefered choice :man_shrugging:

As I’ve said. I was only trying to help by relaying this info.

The discord is quite possibly one of the most hap-hazard things I’ve ever seen.

It’s a great resource for asking questions and getting answers - especially related to sims / rotations. But when it comes down to keeping up with information - especially the rate at which things change in a beta - it’s really not easy for everyone. If all you want to do is lurk and know what’s going on, the Discord channel will not help you that much. It can link you to useful sites, but at that point just bookmark the sites.

Mostly, there’s a lot of chatter, which can be difficult to filter out. If I was 15 years younger it might be easier for me to use, but I (and probably most players) don’t need to know what we discover the moment we discover it, so poring over the channels isn’t necessary.

Welcome to most of the arcane mages who post on the forums!

while i joined every other class DC because they are usually up to date , u dont need to rely on DC

there are tons of sites that update info (usually dataming) and u can see how blizz changed things around , if anything wow has for it , its that they dont obscure the changes, u can clearly see blizz changing auras / modifiers/procs on patch notes.

what ppl were talking about it wasnt about if clearcast was fixed or not , was more about how it “feels” like CC doesnt proc enough as before , u can go from 0 procs when u need it to proc back to back

thats why for example fire has 2 spells that crit 100% (Fireblast and Phoenix ) and why the main CD is 100% crit ,to avoid all unlucky rng

and dooming here has been the “prefered choice” since forever

its the official forums and its the only place players <----> devs have any interaction.

While this could be true, there’s people in this forum (and this post) who are running around like headless chickens while all of the answers to their problems are in the discord. All they really have to do and check the faq section and pins. And people will actually answer their question.

Even the tooltips don’t even properly tell you what a spell really does. Bet most of the people here didn’t even know that ignite (in all content) and totm bugs (for mythic+) was fixed.

None of this really defends anyone well enough as y’all think, but hey. I guess I should just stop while I’m ahead then instead trying to help :v:
