BiS Slot Question

I’m a holy priest that has 300 alchemy and 300 herbalism. My question is should I ditch alchemy and go tailoring to get the Truefaith Vestments?

The Robes of the Exalted seem pretty good so I’m not sure if it’s worth all the gold I’d spend leveling up tailoring plus farming for the TFV pattern. However, TFV looks like it’s BiS all the way up to phase 3.

Any advice would be helpful.

Sounds like you’ve worked it out already. It will be bis for awhile, but the changes in stats are nominal. If you make flasks and fire protection potions for the guild, that’s just a beneficial for the raid as +10 more healing on your chest piece.

Like Innocent said it isn’t a big deal. Also the Teir 1 chest piece will be fine till you get your teir 2 chest. There are alot of pieces of gear that are really close to the BIS gear. Herb/Alc is better anyways since you’ll be able to make money and raid consumes.

I wouldn’t. It’s why I chose alchemy/herbalism over tailoring/enchanting. I feel the former has far more benefits over the latter. Sooner or later everyone will have tailored gear/enchants but there will always be a steady demand for herbs and potions… and don’t forget arcanite transmutes.

I made 750g in 2 days last weekend farming herbs and selling raid pots. (Greater fire protection, major mana, major health, mongoose, arcane elixir)

I used that gold to get my epic mount.

My alt priest is 44 and is also 300 alchy/herb and will have her epic mount the moment she dings 60.

All this is IMHO worth far more than crafting some epic robe that will be replaced sooner rather than later anyway.
