I never healed in Legion so any really good trinkets in Black Rook Hold, Eye of Azshara, Darkheart Thicket, Vault of the Wardens, Neltharion’s Lair, or Court of Stars.
It’s all dependent on scaling. I’ve looked at all the purely healing focused trinkets. Disc may want to look at some of the dps trinkets. All proc #'s are scaled to ilvl 252 (which might change).
Concave Reflecting Lens : 717 healing wave onto 4 targets, 3 procs per minute
Flask of the Solemn Night : 410 diminishing haste proc for 10 seconds, 1 proc per minute
Amalgam’s Seventh Spine : Puts 6 second buff on target of heal/flash heal. restores 198 mana when it expires. Always applies buff.
Moonlit Prism : Haste trinket with on-use. On-use allows spells to give 16 int buff that lasts 20 seconds, stacks up to 20, max 2 stacks per second (internal cooldown). 90 second cooldown for on-use.
Bottled Hurricane : Haste trinket. Gives a stacking buff at 4 procs per minute (and boosted by haste). On-use consumes all stacks of buff to create a healing aoe for 6 seconds, healing up to 5 allies every 1 second for 275 per stack (2750 at max stacks). 20 second cooldown for on-use.
Certainly some interesting choices.
edit: maximum ilvl for these timewalking trinkets is 246 as you cannot get them from the vault. So these values will be ever so slightly weaker but i’m too lazy to update.
I guess we’ll find out when it can be tested but nothing sticks out that can unseat changling or ruby?
Well this morning i heard they are scaled up and upgradable with valor like normal gear. So good signs
Amalgam’s seventh spine would be huge mana gains for raiding as holy as we run trail of light and FC. Very good for any fights where mana feels like a problem.
Bottled Hurricane is in my opinion the strongest healing trinket as it can function as a small raid CD even just using it once a minute. At 4 stacks it heals for 984 per second or total 5904 healing on 5 targets. This is a total healing potential of 29520 At 10 stacks it’s 2460 per second or 14760 total healing on 5 targets roughly every 2 mins. This is a total potential healing of 73800 It also scales with haste if you happen to pick any up. It’s an extra raid CD for 5 people.
Concave reflecting lens does respectable amounts, but it’s a haste trinket instead of flat int.
All these values are subject to change, but reading the proc and scaling to ilvl 246 gives these values.
All that said, I much prefer the 100% uptime on titanic ocular trinket and unbound changeling at the moment.
Bumping this up. Any thoughts? Currently running ruby and changling. Doesn’t seem like there is any new trinkets worth trying to farm…
If you’re talking just M+ that’s really all you got. Ruby & Changeling.
If you raid then try and get your hand on the Titanic Ocular Gland and Orb of Torment.
I can’t even find anyone to confirm that the trinket Im trying to get even exists in the mythic timwalking version. It’d help if in game loot tables for the dungeons existed (mythic ilevel at our current level, not legion mythic or timewalking ilevel).
The lack of info is weird.
These trinkets will not drop in the vault, so the max you are going to get in a dungeon is going to be 236, which can be upgraded to 246 max.
That in mind, would any of these top SL trinkets at 252?
I haven’t really looked at the timewalking loot list. What’s the best you can get in the Legion dungeons?
246 Flask of the Solemn Night is simming above 252 changeling O.o
I actually got it and it’s nutty. At 246 it gives 63 haste per stack (20 stacks) and diminishes over 10s.
Trying to get the mana return trinket now as well.
I got it too. Testing it out on M+. Not bad. Up about 10-15% of the time. Don’t like the randomness of it but I think it’s a little better than Ruby.
It popped during lust and my haste went up to 110% lol.
I’m not a fan of it through testing. Changeling seems to be more reliable with 2x the uptime.
I got the Plaguefall ooze DPS trinket and it’s a 220 dps upgrade (6%) which is basically double what I get from the Ocular Trinket (3% vers).
I’m curious if there’s any good Legion aoe/dps trinkets like the Ooze one.
Accidentally deleted the other post. I pretty much just spent all day farming low legion keys to get just about every trinket except for the mana return one which hasn’t dropped yet.
Here’s kind of my thoughts on these:
Bottle Nightmare:
The buff stacks fairly quickly because you can get 6-7 stacks in like 20s. It also is off the global cooldown and has a target circle on where you want to place it and provides an Echo of Light bonus. Has some potential on some fights, but the loss of INT is like losing -5% healing. A passive trinket or Orb of Torment is better IMHO.
Flask of the Solemn Nightmare:
At 246 it gives you 63 haste per stack (20 stacks) when it procs that diminishes one stack over 10s.
It’s basically like a better simming haste Unbound Changeling. It offers double the haste, but half as many procs. It’s like getting Power Infusion on yourself when it triggers. There’s no visual when it procs so you don’t know it’s up unless you have a buff tracker.
Oakheart Gnarled Root:
At 246 its 5,324 Shadow damage over 6s and reduces the target speed by 20% when it triggers.
I compared this trinket to the Infinitely Divisible Ooze and it does about 50% more damage. It was about 8% of my damage vs 6% from the ooze trinket.
It grants 111 Versatility @ 246 which compared to an INT trinket is losing -2.3% damage/healing. So overall it’s a net damage increase, but I feel like the Ocular Gland is better since it will give you the full INT bonus plus an extra 3.1% versatility (if Versatility is your highest stat).
Corrupted Starlight:
Mine was only 223 since I didn’t spend any valor to upgrade it. It deals 3,669 shadow damage to all targets in a circle over 10s when it procs. It makes a red circle on the ground and its completely RNG which target it will go on and if the mobs move out of the circle its damage is wasted. It doesn’t proc that often usually 1-2 a minute.
It actually did the same amount of damage as the Ooze Trinket (@246), but you’re giving up like -5% damage bonus from INT for like +4% mastery. Would be better for Shadow.
after 10 or so runs of mythics, the flask isn’t half bad. On a 15 HoA run, Changeling proc’ed 31 times, flask 21, so it proc a decent amount but of course the duration is shorter. Basically a self procing half duration PI. Think it will replace my ruby…
They buffed the Corrupted Starlight trinkets damage by 50%, but capped it @ 5 targets because before it wasn’t capped. That makes it fairly competitive as a dps trinket, but not sure if it’s worth using over the Ooze trinket since it completely lacks a primary stat bonus. Mine isn’t even 246 so I don’t even know how much damage it does @ max rank. It could be like 7000 damage per target over 10s in it the circle.
I still haven’t gotten the trinket from Black Rook that restores mana, but if it works like how it did in the past than supposedly the buff carries over with trail of light. You could get double mana returns, but would be a bit janky to work with.
