Bm can still cast kill command, dire beast, bestial wrath, etc.
I think he meant that binding shot is a skill used by their weapon and they can still use it while weaponless, all those abilities you mentioned are done by the pet so it makes sense they can still use it while disarmed

Regardless of what the tooltip says, the spells you can disarm hinge off of one of the attributes or variables in the spelldata. I’m pretty sure that everything with “uses ranged slot(1)” behaves as if it’s coming from your weapon and can thus be prevented with disarm. The spells without it can’t be. Survival abilities get Requires Main-Hand Weapon (106).
