And any other ego stroking notes is a massive red flag and an amazing way to alert any group leaders that you’re a bad choice.
Anyone else find it really satisfying to decline these players?

No, I’m not reading the notes anyways.
what if we didn’t acknowledge them AND didn’t post about them?
you don’t want good players?
I think we should acknowledge them simply to tell them how stupid they look for it. Always good to help the less self-aware people out.
I hear that when one is self righteous in their glories, they often do not hear the facts.
Here’s the thing: it isn’t “good players”. It’s players that believe they fit the description, which in all honesty, are probably no better or worse than any other pool of players signing up for any other pug group.
It’s a weird title, it sets a weird tone for the group, and I am generally not going to sign up for those groups regardless of my stats, performance, or any other measurable factor at any keystone level.
I’m a big pumper but irl
Those hydraulic and pneumatic systems such as cylinders, valves, pumps, accumulators, and filters won’t repair themselves!
Saying you do a lot of damage… is ego? I mean, if they in-fact do a lot of damage… it’s just the truth. You should probably google words before you try and use them.
Anyone decent doesn’t need to say" I dO bIG daMaGE" though, they’re confident in how they play and don’t need to flaunt it.
From experience, anyone who puts in their note or group title “BIG PUMPER(S)” is typically terrible and trying to hype themselves up within their own delusion.
Whatever dude, I find your logic baffling but you do you.
Do they need to say it? ilvl and what they have completeded timed kinda says something for them? Even if they were a little carried, they weren’t entirely slackin’.
Just check logs. Anyone can put “big pumper” in the note, doesn’t make it true.
No, because sometimes the text they provide is true. I’m not some Tanner that declines players over text messages, unless they harass otherwise.
Ain’t no one reading these anyway.
If I’m looking at two people I like and one has notes, I’m probably choosing the one without notes.
Notes just tell me you’re desperate.
Idk, I assume most of them are joking around and using it ironically.
If it’s an oce with any kind of silly title or description, I usually join and start bantering. If you make fun of them enough you’ll end up with friends.
“BIG PUMPERS ONLY” group, leader is sub 510, wipes once, disbands.
I laff.
I don’t pay attention to notes, but if I did, this would be a turn-off for me too. Mostly because I feel when people are this hung up on performance, they’re likely to leave the second something goes wrong. Then again, in a way I also get why lone DPS players try to promote themselves as finding groups isn’t always that trivial.
In general, I just go by rating, number of timed keys in the bracket, item level, and class/spec (buffs I want, CR, interrupts). I tend to favor non-meta specs because I figure if someone stuck it out with a non-meta spec and got a decent rating with it, they’re more likely to play their class well.
It’s just someone saying “Hey, I wanna do this content and I’m going to blitz through it.” It’s nice of them to give the heads up. I can’t imagine anyone is doing it for their ego because it’s not an impressive thing. Just the normal result of playing a lot.
Actually just to be clear, are we talking in the context of remix? Because I am. Outside of that I dont do much group stuff.
I also never apply to groups using those words.
