Big problem with blizzard mentality-

I think it’s great to add variants to class specs to make them viable for the game, but here is the problem-

Melee hunters are absolutely ridiculous right now, highest physical dps by a mile, insane dmg even with armor, it literally 1 shots people in pvp, it’s completely overtuned.

Shadow priests are considered one of the most oppressive classes in the game right now next to rogue mutilate and hunters, it has insane damage with all the runes buffing them to insane ceilings. Even with the upcoming nerf, they are still going to be oppressive in pvp.

Metamorph warlocks are absolutely obnoxious, they have insane healing at the moment, increased armor to infinity compared to the intended playstyle, and not to mention, instant cast everything?

Blizzard, I don’t think you know how PvP was intended, instant cast is not suppose to be the PRIMARY DAMAGE, it’s suppose to be filler and utility in order to find openings and kiting. Between the balance druid meta we just had to deal with, hunters hitting for ridiculous numbers, everything is scaled to insane levels except for certain classes that wont see much play because of how much you ignore them. It’s actually insane how much you hate feral druids, I’m 99% sure aggend or whatever his damn name got bullied by feral druids so they wont ever see play, separating their critical skills on runes and applying onto the same slot to avoid viability. Warriors had their time to shine, but now they are COMPLETELY at the bottom of the barrel, they are viable for tanking but even that is subjective as there is homuc, also not to mention how in pvp warrior is probably one of the least fun classes atm. This caster meta is becoming absolutely ridiculous, put cast timers on crap, or reduce the dmg by like 30%, because this is getting so out of hand that it’s beyond acceptable from a game developer. Play the game. Seriously, imo devs should be forced to play the damn game. Ever heard of a cook that doesn’t taste the food? Go play each class, raid with it, do some pvp, look at the balance right now, because if this trend continues, people are going to quit on mass.

Yep, been on this same kick - Spriest, hunter and rogue need massive nerfs

Their current state makes for an unfun game

The mentality problem is yours…

Classic WoW was never about PvP. It was never about balance. It was never rock>paper>scissors>rock.

You’re committing the cardinal Retail-Andy sin trying to disassociate classes from specs. Feral isn’t a class - Druid is a class, and druid has a ton of power in it’s class kit. It’s okay though, most retail-reroll FOTM chaser Druids are making the same sin.

As soon as you come to the realization that PvP is not a pillar of gameplay in Classic WoW - the better off you’ll be. It’s a stepping stone here. The gear isn’t important, and the best-possible equipment is lackluster compared to introductory raid equipment… Even for PvP.

The best PvP honor per hour battleground is PvE centric. The gear is for PvE. PvE gear gives you stronger gear to PvP in when you’re bored… but the underlying notion is: PvP just ultimately does not matter, and no class balance should be dictated based around PvP.

You’ll be significantly less frustrated when you accept that PvP is not only an afterthought - it is completely and utterly worthless in Classic WoW.

This instant cast meta is toxic, mutilate hits way to hard for it’s energy costs while providing 2 combo points, hunters are just completely overtuned on melee, it baffles me how long it’s taking them to address these issues. Their idea of “nerfing” spriest was literally buff 2 instant casts, and lower another by a small portion, it’s absolutely insane the thought process they are doing. The balance druid nerf/adjustment was perfect, they don’t feel oppressive, but are still a great pickup. They don’t instant kill but man they can still hit hard if their positioning is good and ramp up.

Pure, unadulterated nonsense

99% sure you didn’t play vanilla.

Not everything is Instant Cast as Meta.

When you edit a quote it makes you look goofy.

I am absolutely staggeringly positive you did not. High Warlord M(redacted)- server first, world 3rd, Rank 14… Warsong - The vanilla PvP server.

Then I had 4 High Warlords in classic re-launch, and now 2 in Classic Era.

It has never, ever, ever, ever, eeeeeeeeeever been a viable gear path option. Warriors use R14 gear until mid AQ, but upgrade half of it with crafted items or BWL loot. Hunters use a pair of gloves from R12. Mages use a pair of pants if they can’t get the better pants to drop.

The #1 HPH BG in all of classic WoW is AV… Which is a pve BG centered around 100% avoiding PvP and prioritizing PvE as a race for the maximized honor.

The best PvP equipment is from PvE. The PvP equipment is horrible for PvP.

Not as goofy as when you post nonsense.

Anyone said anything about gear pathing? Pretty sure you brought that into the conversation.
Rockyamind - Gurubashi, nuf said.

Anyways, PvP was a thing a lot of people has always done for enjoyment, there was moments people preferred it over raiding, it was also the main content during dry spells of WoW. It wasn’t the main focus, but, there was always adjustments based on how classes felt in PvE and PvP. The problem is spellcasters are no longer spell casters. They just spam whatever instant cast is available. There is no longer any rock-paper-scissors, as the whole counterplay against a range caster was to interrupt a spell cast, or get in their face to force them to expend resources like blink/death coil etc etc. Now with 99% of spells being used in pvp is instant cast, even if you jump ontop of them, they have all the power as they still have the utility of blink/scream/suppression/etc, while being able to kite without losing any dmg falloff. It’s one thing to add spells, it’s another to add instant casts, as these were usually higher cooldowns abilities used for situational reasons. Not really hard to grasp here.

Gurubashi was where the bad guilds who were not able to participate in end-game PvP and got shamed out of honor premades transferred to when Warsong was full.

Your server was literally full of the people not good enough to participate in my server, and was offered free transfers off.

Also, weird, checking - No Khan? No Rank 14? No Bloodthirsty? I had all of those titles the second they dropped. I can’t take “muh classic pvp” advice from someone who’s got under 250k lifetime hks, let alone in the ten-million club.

I have that number right now in Classic Era on my 6th Grand Marshal.

I don’t think you have any realistic classic/vanilla based experience to base your entitlement around. Sorry. Your rose-colored glasses don’t make PvP any more important I’m afraid. It’s still not a realistic pillar of gameplay in classic era.

Edit: lifetime highest 1567? No gladiator titles? Come on man. Silly.

First off, I started tichondrius, 2nd of all, cope much?

I love how you keep referencing classic era, when I’m stating vanilla, you obviously weren’t around. 2nd of all, again, quit for 15 years lol, all I played was the real release, I didn’t need a time machine to pretend I was part of it.

So what is it… Your 1567 lifetime highest “Rockyamind - Gurubashi” - or is it now some phantom Tichondrius alt?

I do not believe you to have enough WoW PvP experience to be making unrealistic proclamations about game-state as a whole… You’ve never even got high enough for weapons/shoulders when you played…

and as for BG’s/wPvP… you barely participated in that, either.

Just be transparent. You play Druid, specced Feral, and you thought that since Druid was being given Wild Strikes you’d be dominant, and you aren’t.

“I’m SaYinG VAnILLa” - I was quite literally the third rank 14 on the planet, in vanilla. On a character I provided to you.

Still got my Scarab Lord title, too. Thanks !

Says the one that pretends to be there by playing classic era. Keep coping

What? Are you genuinely this delirious? I played both, and in both I hit R14.

There’s no Warsong classic era server, you donkey.

Do you want to log in retail, and we can compare at-content time-stamped vanilla PvP achievements? Do you want me to come stand by you with my High Warlord title on, with zero lifetime RBG’s played? Then change to Scarab Lord? Khan? The Bloodthirsty? 7 different Gladiator titles?

Like… What are you even trying to imply? Are you not able to figure out I’m talking about participating in both ?

Lol just checked, you had nothing until dragonflight, gg move along.

Just checked… what?

None of my characters are linked, at all, in any way/size/shape/form. You couldn’t have found anything even if I gave it to you.

Literally all of my characters are manually de-listed from check-pvp, arenastats, WoW’s API, and raiderio.

Why lie? Goofy.

Funny how that works

Funny how what works?

You’re just flat out lying lol. Better forum trolls than you have insisted they’ve “found my characters”, but every single solitary one of them is manually de-listed from each other. There’s nothing you could have found, period.

You may have found a few posts on the forums of people trying to find me, though.

Reporting and moving on.

Edit: again to clarify, as I’ve now ignored you… Absolutely every single solitary character I have is de-listed from each other. There is no character you can search, period, to find my other characters, period.

I gave you the name of the character to verify who I was, and offered to log in and show you. I have edited it out, but rest assured – quite literally none of my characters are in my post history - nor are any of them associated via any WoW/Blizzard/third party API.

Clown.
