I agree with the theory and go further than that: Ansem Seeker of Darkness is infact the future self of Ansem the Wise or rather his Dark half.
I should also note that the Darkness that Xehanort encounters in Dark Road has Maleficent’s theme which is heavily suspicious furthermore Maleficent’s theme plays when Maleficent is in Union X even when the Darkness allied to her appears.
Said Darkness knows a lot about Maleficent’s history as if it lived it despite the Book of Prophecy never mentioning her.
I have suspicions concerning the Ark: I suspect that it is nearing completion and that Pete will possess Ven’s Body, gouge out one of Ven’s Eyes, possess Noctis from FFXV’s body then send Ventus’s Eye into one of the Pods on the Ark as a way of testing to see if it works.
It does so Maleficent, Pete-Noctis, Ansem the Wise, Subject X AKA Skuld, Lauriam, Larxene and 1 more(an Unknown Time Traveler) enter the Pods(unwillingly aside from Maleficent and Pete-Noctis) and go back in time then their Hearts intersect and the clash of Equal Light and Equal Darkness creates the X-Blade.
The Darkness of the X-Blade for the most part has the cores of each Heart retain their sense of self causing Noctis’s Darkness, Pete’s Darkness, Ansem’s Darkness, Maleficent’s Darkness and possibly the Unknown Time Traveler’s Darkness to remain 4 Hearts while the 4 more confused and unstable Darknesses divide and blend together to create 10 Hearts of Pure Darkness.
Noctis’s Light is so calm and blending that Pete’s Light is able to keep it merged with his own while Pete retains his sense of self. Maleficent’s Light is also able to retain her sense of self while the other Hearts aside from possibly the Unknown Time Traveler’s Heart lose their sense of self and blend to create new Hearts of Pure Light.
Since the Light is less confrontational than Darkness the Lights remain at 7 when the X-Blade shatters creating the 7 Lights and 13 Darknesses.
Maleficent’s Darkness guides the Foretellers(in the form of Foreteller Invi) Maleficent and Xehanort to their intended destinies.
The Darkness known as Vanitas kills Strelitzia and possesses Ventus before being ripped out by Xehanort whom by then Ansem had attempted and failed to take over becoming trapped until Xehanort’s possession of Terra gave him an opening due to Terra keeping Xehanort occupied.

Needless to say when Kingdom Hearts’ Light destroyed Noctis’s Darkness his Heart went straight to the Reaper’s Game of The World Ends With You and later possessed Yozora(as the Nameless Star says: his Heart has been replaced with another’s) causing Yozora to take on an appearance that is a hybrid between Riku and Noctis.
Both Ansem Seeker of Darkness and Noctis’s Darkness left shadows of themselves inside Riku which connects to Noctis’s Light Half subjugated by Pete’s Light: The Master of Masters(who has Noctis’s Voice Actor).
The Master of Masters is shown in the Melody of Memory Trailer before Kairi and Kairi is seen interacting with the Pure Light inside her. I suspect Pete-Noctis’s Light is the pure Light resting in Kairi’s body. Kairi blaming the Master of Master for Sora’s disappearance indicates that he took control of Kairi to allow her to be captured which upon discovery causes Kairi to fight him in rage.
Pete-Noctis being the Pure Light residing in Kairi explains her reaction to Riku: Ansem had already been present on Destiny Islands since Xehanort’s childhood yet Kairi didn’t react to him at all yet Riku’s change caused a massive reaction:
Pete noticed Noctis’s Darkness and was in dread over Noctis recompleting and Pete losing control so he drove Kairi to suggest leaving Destiny Islands without Riku only for Sora to shoot it down and suggest Kairi was the one that changed which Kairi’s own Heart agrees with.
When Kingdom Hearts gets rid of Noctis and Ansem their shadows of course linger on Riku yet Ansem’s shadow is the one that becomes dominant though obviously Pete doesn’t fear Ansem claiming his Light for his own like he does Noctis.
Of course Ansem’s Kingdom Hearts Encoder blows up and weakens Ansem’s shadow which provides an opening for Noctis’s shadow to grow in strength which of course causes Pete-Noctis to push Kairi into paying as much attention to Sora as possible while ignoring(snubbing in Pete’s case) Riku.
Noctis’s Shadow in Riku draws Riku’s dreaming Heart into Shibuya where Noctis’s Darkness possesses Yozora with the same thing happening to Pete-Noctis’s Heart.
Once Riku and Kairi enter the Final World in Melody of Memory their presence will draw Yozora into Riku’s presence then Riku and Yozora will eventually restore Noctis’s Darkness while defeating Ansem(who by now has regained his bearded face).
Yozora will return to his or should I say her(as we are assuming the Nameless Star is named Sora and Yozora is her Nobody) true form while being pulled back into Shibuya.
Kairi on the other hand will face Pete-Noctis/the Master of Masters and either lose or win. If she wins someone from either the 7 Lights or 13 Darknesses will cut in and kill her sending her straight to Shibuya for the Reaper’s game to reunite with Sora.
Pete-Noctis will take over Kairi’s Body and upon discovering the ressurection of Noctis’s Darkness into a Body of his own probably surrender Noctis’s Light to hide his possession of Kairi’s body. Noctis will be fully recompleted in his homeland Radiant Garden. Ansem Seeker of Darkness will become Good.
Pete-Kairi(who will probably get Kairi’s KH1 Hairstyle which is similar to Noctis’s back) will get back to work alongside her Dark Half Demyx(who is too suspiciously like Pete to be a coincidence) on Maleficent’s plan.
