Can someone verify that this is ONCE PER WEEK PER ACCOUNT (and not character?)
Can’t you just try it again on another character on same account and see if there are any rewards?
Seems easy enough you don’t need other people to check this.
I could, but why do that when I can ask? the event came out on Tuesday, there a thousands of users on this forum and I can’t play right now.

I’ve done it so far on 5 characters, my first one is the only one that got the 5K currency for completing the dig.
I’ve got other currency and 3K rep at hand in, and mogs, but unless it is a bug, I can confirm the 5K reward is once per account, it’s just like Rifts, that weekly quest is only once per account, difference being is that all characters can pick up this Dig quest.
You can do it on every character, but only your first one will give you the big reward (5k). I’ve noticed on my alts that it says they can get 5k too, but in reality, they get around 500-ish from start to finish. Must be a display bug.
My characters are getting way more than 500 from start to finish, I am trying to fully participate though. Are you killing the big bad at the end too?
That doesn’t help, for sure, just like the Soup event. I just dig a lot if I can with a pro-tip someone mentioned on these forums - click the progress bar, not the mound of dirt, that’s helped a lot.
Yeah. There’s a lot of people around usually, so I’m just slow being picked for tasks. lol The NPC can only dish them out so fast. They pretty much copied and pasted the soup event.
i’m going to assume the alt-unfriendliness is just to stretch this out as far as possible.

They handled the Time Rift event similarly. This is indeed meant to last us a little while, though only arbitrarily.
There’s the gist of the topic. You knew (how can you not after a week and all the announcements), just wanted to complain.
How is it alt unfriendly? You can do the event on multiple characters, you can even purchase an item to mail the currency to other characters at a 1 to 1 ratio, it’s 1k currency.

I"m not a big fan of weekly events that limit you to one character per week, that’s all
Tbf you aren’t actually limited to one character for this event, and given that you can mail fragments at a 1 to 1 ratio, its not that bad. That being said, unless you want the rep on alts too you might as well just do it on the one character
