THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE BC PREPATCH. BGS ARE FINE IN THE BC PREPATCH.
Over in Vanilla land, BGs don’t even show up. I can queue for it, but hours later, I am still in queue. There are no numbered AVs, WSGs, or ABs in the queue screen.
It’s like all of the numbered instances for PvP got migrated over and Vanilla Classic was left in the dust.
Maybe Classic Era people can start setting up times to queue? I feel like with the current population, random queuing isn’t going to work. I’d definitely rather get my BG fix from Classic. If we can figure out something like that as a community I’ll queue up with my horde or ally, whatever is needed.
I don’t know if that will help if it is only showing “first available” without any instances in the list (or AV1, AV2,etc).
On my Vanilla realm AV didn’t pop for two months. EVERYONE thought it was bugged/broken. We organized a group queuing and it popped soon after that and from then on.
if the BGs are broken yeah it requires a fix but this is worth trying.
Classic only types like myself need to be patient. It might be a month or two before stuff coalesces.
The BGs are all cross realm anyway. This feels like it was stripped out and sent to BC.
I’ve had plenty bg’s pop, ab/wsg. But I haven’t played around this time of day, only later in the evening. IT helps if you can group with others in your realm and then queue together.
I’ve been doing TBC BGs to grind out marks/honor there as I’m playing both versions and they haven’t been fun. I’m really missing a better version (not the best I know) of AV and not having half the team full AFK in WSG/AB. After grinding this out I have no desire to go back into these TBC BGs for fun because they aren’t fun. So I am definitely one of those who would love to just have fun doing BGs on Classic. I’m sure there are others. I really hope these don’t die out completely and things can stabilize.
The queues are running slowly, yes. But I have been in 5 WSG games in the last 4 hours. One of them ran nearly 1.5 hours. The games (wsg) are going during the day through evening hours. Just queue and go do something else.
AB games were popping for a few days. But the last one I was in was yesterday morning.
*** This reminds me so much of early - mid Vanilla. Don’t you remember sitting around the portal in north Barrens waiting for the wsg queue to pop? It was a gank fest for both sides as we did mini raids on the other factions queue location. Games did not necessarily run consecutively 24/7.
TBC is a great expansion but its not 2007 anymore. Classic is the better game overall especially when you take the meta zoomers into account.
But again, it might take awhile. Seems like Era players need a little help from Blizz here in the form of actual Era servers or further consolidation. I dont care if you hail from a different realm, I just wanna get my T0 and do some bgs.
Agreed, and I’m not trying to hate on TBC. I just had so much fun with Classic BGs that I want the fun back lol.
I know youre not bad mouthin TBC. Eventually Im gonna break down and play TBC…when Wrath Classic is out and there are TBC forever realms.
On small private servers the solution was communication through discord to organize people queuing BGs at the same time on both factions - may want to start something like that
Ask for a refund on cloned characters. Or petition for free clones moving forward.
