We need solo que BGs. every game right now is a pre made and is very one sided
I should feel the need to do that when farming gear bro… PvE has the random dungeon que system, do you feel the need to form a 5 stack pre made for normal dungeons to get gear? No. I shouldn’t need a team just to farm honor gear.
I run solo most every night. Skill issue. Work with the team your given or create your own.
I have had quite a lot of games where its a pre-made vs us randoms and i try pretty hard and it doesnt matter because the entire team gives up. You’re entitled to your opinion but if you think Joe Average Player who might be returning for a new expansion or is a legit new player is going to go through that process of gathering people to queue with you are delusional.
Its much more likely that person just quits. The premade issue is in fact an issue that will slowly kill the expansion if it doesnt get curbed in some way.
I have personally been in around 6 bgs in the last few days where my entire team was discussing quitting in the chat because they were sick of this “stuff”. Censored obviously.
I’ve also accidentally been on the dominant ally premade randomly and i dont particularly find it fun to spawn camp them to the point they afk out. Hard disagree.
Should be capped at 3 players per bg out of 10 or something. Loading into 8+ people working on coms i may as well log out.
30% in a given team being premade is plenty fair. 80% or more is an NFL team fighting a high school team. Its boring…just my take idk.
Look for it.
You can’t expect addicts to make thoughtful opinions.
The matchmaking is working as designed. Premade vs Premade 30% give or take, Healers on both sides is another roll of the dice. Quality?
A small modicum of balance in this department would save a lot of lost clients.
More importantly, this would add some competitive spirit to the game.
not a skill issue when all the opposing team members are higher in damage than anyone on my team. It’s gear bro, and only pre made groups get the higher ilvl gear first
Wild. My Evoker is in maxed out honor gear and I haven’t grouped with anyone. No one feels bad for you, we all have to do exactly what you’re doing to get the PvP gear. You aren’t special… or maybe you are
Exactly, and the same forum champs will be here spouting off the same ra-ra while the game dies slowly. Which in my honest opinion is starting to happen.
They can’t see the big picture, and it shows 100% in every post.
Yeah, I solo and duo queued to three fully geared 70s so far and I haven’t really been pushing it. Yes, there are a lot of lopsided matches due to preforms and gear disparities but you can get geared in a couple of days fairly easily if you weren’t already farming up honor and tokens while leveling.
It will get better as the arena season starts and the expansion progresses.
The BG matchmaking system does try to pit premades against other premades btw. But if it can’t find one it’s not going to delay the queue for it.
30% of the time.
It’s hard to tell if a lopsided match is because of a geared preform versus a bunch of pugs or a geared preform versus either an inexperienced or undergeared enemy preform.
I really do wish they would implement a system like in GW2 where you could actually see who queued together on your team and the enemy team. But, Blizzard probably doesn’t want you to see that because I suspect that often times they match up two man preforms against five man preforms and call it a day.
Lets be real here, the matchmaking system in place with comparison to other games out there is largely outdated. Laughable.
Unless this is how they envision what players really want.
The thing is most of the time you can’t even tell if you are facing a premade. There are tons of times where my battleground is stack full of moonguard players (my realm) but I didn’t queue with any of them and I’ve also been in premades that were cross server.
Adding a solo queue option doesn’t make sense for unrated BGs in my opinion because it will only server to lengthen the queue times for every player and players will just queue together in discord (like they do now in epic BGs) to bypass the “solo” queue limitations. There aren’t enough games going on at once to stop this.
And that is another thing. I’m playing on Tich and often times my team is mostly Tich even though I am solo or duo queued. What looks like a preform isn’t always a preform and what is a preform sometimes doesn’t look like one due to cross server groups.
If that is the case, then we can just let this game rot away into obscurity.
Back to reality, the only players who will have an extended wait time will be those in groups. Players solo queueing have a much larger population, they will survive.
It’s not hard to locate where the toxicity in Wow is at, and what creates it.
The difference is often in reaction times and anyone playing more than a couple years can tell this though.
The odds of me as a lone straggler in Wsg being hard swapped by 5 fully geared dps with Tich tags and them not being a premade are precisely 0.
It happening again and again just further solidifies the fact they are on comms or have a target caller in raid chat.
It happens quite frequently.
There are the odd game where its a lot of people from the same server but you can just tell when its randoms vs a murderball of enemy players instantly swapping and cc’ing specific players. That doesnt happen with some guy who is keyboard turning and backpedalling on a huntard named Legolassszzz. Its tryhard premade teams.
Just the fact that we are having these guesswork/I know/We don’t know regarding who is a premade or not.
Literally displays why the system needs an update.
It’s because of factions. GW2 BGs doesn’t have to worry about faction v faction so literally everyone queuing can be placed on either team.
I think it is a problem without any obvious good solutions.
Perhaps tightening up the matchmaking a bit on sizes of preforms and number of healers. I’d personally be okay with a longer queue time for that, IF it is a reasonable increase in time waited (under 10 minutes).
I’m not going to accept dealing with 20 minute queues, for example.
The problem is that, we really don’t know how much this would impact queue times unless it is actually implemented. I’m guessing back in the day they actually had tighter matchmaking that was leading to some very long queues. I recall sitting in queues for a regular BG for 30 minutes many years ago after cross server was put in.
If they improve matchmaking, it has to come along with regular BGs being fully cross faction.
