Of course you would try to misinterpret that. Certain things need to be in place to retain the integrity of the game. One of these things is the semblance of faction warfare. This is not done by horde transferring to the alliance side in battlegrounds. Horde transferring to the alliance side in battlegrounds would actively defeat the point of faction warfare, and over time people would just create horde characters instead of any others.
Like phase 2 classic, there should not be a change to cater to those who desire retail QoL over the integrity of the game.
Notnsure if this was directed towards me, but this is my new main. I played a UD priest in Classic but decided to reroll to Alliance to play Hpal in TBC, to alleviate the queue issue. I like BGs and decided I wanted a shorter queue. I’m 48 now and not regretting it.

Thank you, sir Dwarf! Another thing I’m excited about is putting Diplomacy to good use. I dont have as much time to play as I used to, so I also wanted to enjoy faster rep gains since rep is such a big thing in classic.
I have to say, Alliance is incredibly welcoming so far and I really enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
Mercenary mode will give you more players to queue bgs with, it helps you too.

Alliance are not going to leave you and reroll horde if they introduce this. It doesn’t make sense to switch factions like that just so they can merc and queue with the alliance again

You’re best off accepting TBC in its current state. Otherwise, play retail if merc mode is that important to you. I know you mentioned you enjoy WoD - you really seem like the de facto retail player. This shouldn’t be something that disappoints you just because your favorite streamer prefers this version of WoW over retail. Play retail with pride.

WOD was 7 years ago and nothing like Shadowlands now. I wish they would go back to pvp like that.
