Question that I didn’t think deserved its own thread:
So, I’m back to WoW… what is the state of casual PVP? I like mostly BGs (whenever I don’t land against premades in not-rated PVP), but I do arenas sometimes - again in a very casual fashion.
What is the state of BGs nowadays? My favored classes are DK, Lock and Spriest spec. All I read on the class forums is doom and gloom, which makes me anxious to even try them out in pvp (I’m still finishing leveling the priest to 80 to see which I’ll focus on).
Ignore any doomers you see on the forums, i’m back after a year and having the most fun i’ve had in 5 years
BGB is a blast. I’ve dabbled in RSS a bit ( 1800-2000’ish ) on a handful of toons when I was bored or to get a certain mog. BGB on the other hand, I’ve done 1600+ on Arcane/MM/HPal ( pre-buffs 
) for the free piece of gear and pushed a little on my Assassination Rogue ( 2111 atm ). Definitely a nice way to do something you enjoy and get some rating/tmogs/whatever out of it.
Edit: Also, they def pushed a ban wave out for the botters/wintraders, I think I was like rank 250 or something when I logged off my Rogue yesterday and now it’s 137 ahahaha.
Oh, I remember doing Rated Solo Shuffles with a lot of success as Guardian druid when I checked out Dragonflight. I’m aware tanks are not very popular in PVP as far as I’ve been hearing, but back then I was pretty much indestructible as a bear and put a lot of pressure - if I landed with a smart person, a win was most likely.
Every post I see about certain classes on PVP seems to be only regarding high ratings, so Idk what to make of it when all I see is “Delete your DK” (exaggeration) lol.
If you’re having fun, keep at it.
as an avid dk main, I’ve not enjoyed what blizzard has done to dk, for years at this point.
Screw everyone else. If you like DK Keep at it, They’re not so weak that you wouldnt be able to push with them.

Hows the pvp been this xpac so far? I injured my left hand at work so I havent really been able to pvp as much.
Depends what you do i think. I’ve had a lot of fun, the class balance itself seems great for like random bgs, or world pvp.
Blitz seems to be very hit or miss depending on a few factors.
I dont do arenas, but i imagine they’re the nightmare they always are.
I’m enjoying myself more than i have in a long time despite any concerns.

Can you get set pieces via regular bgs and epics? or do I have to struggle through blitz until I have the gear? I dont mind taking my lumps but ideally I would like to just play super casually now.
You can get everything thing through basically any content you like, some is just slower than others.
