Oooofff I dunno… Bonus rolls were the one thing that I didn’t mind, gave you some agency on what you were aiming for (kinda like PvP vendors you know)… They really are going full bore and gutting loot drops this expansion holy moly. It’s gonna hit people like a brick wall in SL.
Not sure how I feel about the 1600 thing. The whole gear behind rating thing. Just incentives people to only play meta comps because they wanna push rating for gear. I just wanna play whatever I enjoy playing.
I feel like bonus rolls are more important when youre RNG hoping for your piece to drop while hoping RNG blesses you with the right secondary stats while praying to RNGesus that it has the right corruption/azerite and being disappointed when RNG does not favor you with a tertiary stat. With gear being more streamlined I dint think we need quite as much thrown at us.
Same brother. Same. I’ve always felt higher ratings should get PvP gear faster but it should be the same gear.
I feel conflicted reading that blue post.
On one hand it sucks because it just slows down gearing and that completion feeling you get when your character hits a certain power creep.
On the other hand, of their intent is to either slow you down this way or slow you down by putting hours of weekly chores in like 8.3 then I’d rather it be slow gearing and I spend more time doing the things I want to do for that gear.

Yeah… Still I want to be able to play an alt, so if it’s too slow that won’t be great. Got to be able to play something that’s good once in a while when enhance isn’t cutting it

This is great news. Even if we don’t see a playable game from them for another 3-5 years, maybe it will send a message now to the suits ruining this game.

cause i have beta i can give you a simple run down but not in depth.
covs = factions of sl. 2 abils, one class abil, 1 cov ability. they’re all really fun as i’ve tested it on the beta, it’s like having two new abils.
covs give you conduit trees sort’ve like relics that you can customize what you want to be strong in, aoe, single, sustain etc.
3 different types of conduit trees.
renown is a CAPPED farmable currency used for non PLAYER POWER purposes, so more cosmetics. You’ll have a bar to fill and a cosmetic reward to earn if you CHOOSE to do so, you’ll also obtain it naturally, but it’s also capped which means you don’t have to farm it.
important to know this is not AP.

anima is explained in there but it’s mostly going to get you abils in the tower. it’s not AP once again.
soulbinds/conduits are within covs.
legendaries are back but no rng sinkhole, you craft them and choose the stats you want on them. you can target which ones you want, get the recipe, craft etc.

Your covenants are gated by Renown. You have to increase your Renown in order to unlock more rows of the covenant tree.
I believe this is to stop people from farming open the entire tree in the first week of the expansion launch so that everyone can remain on equal footing, hence why it is a weekly cap (and MAU, of course). I read that Renown has a catch-up in place too so that people who start the game later can still unlock everything without being months behind.
