BG forums lounge (Part 1)

World defense channel no longer functions, on ED it was the main contributer towards large scale fights in pvp. and Warmode split the population even more. ED is basically dead now and everyone is on grobbulus where there are now 200v200 fights.

Yup… Hate warmode and sharding. Bleh, I woulda preferred server merges anyday.

My issue is there are almost never small skirms anymore. It’s anonymous lfg raid vs lfg raid. Instead of getting jumped, someone from your server helping you out and then maybe becoming friends.

Lol yeah this too… Definitely feels like they did their best to destroy community :slightly_frowning_face: they say they want to build it but man so many of their decisions did the opposite.

Very true. I made a lot of friends in Classic/TBC this exact way. Rescued a lot of people from being camped. Some of them turned out to be very cool people that I hung out with for years. It was a community builder for sure. Faction bonding was strong. Fun times.

I can’t trade items, give money, smith things, sign guild charters, etc with 98% of the people in my face. This is the farthest thing from community building.

I tried to get into Classic. But the terrible grind that was waiting at 60 wasn’t worth it.

The bullcrap with BG’s is the reason I won’t even bother to make a twink.

Yeah it can be miserable. I started leveling a mage though and it feels like I’m playing it on easy mode. Free food/water, portals for extra gold, easy farming and leveling all around and a top damage dealer.

My Lil’ Ponies?

Uhhh, that’s terrifying. The alien eyes are a real fright.

@Everyone concerning perpetually adding skills per expansion.

They had a curve for that awhile back, it was called functional Inscription.

The glyphs changing aspects of baseline spells was good system that added flavor. Maybe they should “develop” that back into the game, lol.

In retail? Yes there are.
I find them any time I am doing WQs, especially in the invasion areas. Knowing the enemy factions emissary is helpful, as you’ll know specifically which WQs to go hunting around. Dungeon entrances are also good areas to scout because of small groups waiting around and summoning teammates.

Agree with all of your post. They say they want community and then go out of their way to make it a solo player game.

Their art team needs to get off the insect eyed anime juice or they need to get some better art team for cute models.
The little unicorns could be cool but nah throw it on argi model and make half of it’s face eyeballs like some kind of N’zothicorn.

Their last few pet designs have been nothing short of horrendous. It’s like everything ‘cute’ is part of an ugly competition.

Why don’t you do it.

Fight me.

And why do we not have pets to match our pvp mounts yet?? It has been two expansions now. They can be easily used for that.

No, you must grind the forum like a good little skinner box rat.

Meanwhile on Skeram…

Not trying to disprove what you’re saying, I was having a blast until free server migration opened up and 99% of the Alliance transferred off my server.

I’ve been playing a 70ish Gnome Warrior. I’m really enjoying going around in questing areas attacking all the Horde with Warmode on who have never PVPed before. Plenty of solid 1v1, 1v2, 1v3s and nobody every forms a raid group and makes things boring.

Its a shame the way I get my PVP fix is in Borean Tundra instead of on my 120.

Also, Shadowlands’ Destro Warlock stuff is straight up pathetic. No Shadowburn changes. No Shadowfury changes. No change from tank warlock into a solid caster again. No purchase from me.

On the flip side, affliction looks fun again. It’s got me excited at least. I will most definitely be leveling my lock as my 2nd main. But I see destro as tolerable right now even though it’s drastically inferior to mop.

Aww, that’s lame. Guess that happened on a few servers. Grobb remains feisty.

These recent random lag/ms spikes and bgs don’t mix very well

Too many normies at home binge-watching Netflix/Youtube?

Us gamers getting “bumped off” at the most inconvenient times (example: during PvP) :man_facepalming:

I love the rubber band moment when you pop CDs and when everything comes to, the enemy is 60 yards away or dead

Thought about making that decision for awhile now but I’m still hanging in with classic. It’s got it’s drawbacks for sure though. I do goof around in OW several times a week. If you want to goof around too, look for me in there sometime.

Agreed. Still baffled that they took glyphs out when what they should have done wass add a few more so that there weren’t “must haves” for most specs to help vary playstyles.

There’s an old saying: “Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater.” It meant don’t get rid of the good while trying to get rid of the bad (essentially) I guess that saying is of no use if you can’t tell which is which. This game has too much bathwater and not enough baby.
