Don’t mean to say I told everyone so but 
tanks and healers asking for gold for runs was exactly the same thing in vanilla because of how few there always are. AV was released with a newer version ruining that. Hybrids being almost required to heal. It’s just how it was back then.
This was me 100% until I’ve hit my classic “wall” lol. There are things I really hate about retail and things that really suck in classic. The journey to 60 with the wpvp mixed it - the good and bad - really was fun in classic. It’s just the end game is really bad. I expected it to be bad though and planned on just living in bgs. Then I queue for av and man that’s even worse.

I just don’t have the time to play the game like it was in vanilla lol. The amount of time it took to get groups together + travel + having to battle your way in + then having to clear said dungeon.
Them releasing a newer AV was a giant mistake though but people caring nothing about the bg and only caring about honor gains was the same way regardless. Too much work for too little.

Yea that’s exactly my problem with end game. It’s tough to squeeze that in on 2 hr gaming sessions.
To be clear though, I don’t have any regrets with classic. It was extremely fun leveling to 60 and I at least have a couple characters ready for tbc. Plus looking at bfa still in patch 8.2.5, I really didn’t miss anything.

I had a blast with this toon. My other two not so much even though it’s different styles. I’ve been trying to take different paths but the higher you get the more I have to do the same things I did the first time around. My urge to play has dropped like a stone for that and other reasons. I don’t know anything about twinking. Maybe I can try it? The only other thing I could see myself trying is rolling a horde toon

…my brain right now is pushing option number 1 for the last couple of days. But for me, that tends to be permanent. I wish I could take up heavy drinking again and shut it the hell up because I don’t want to make a permanent decision over a few bad weeks.

You just over gear a level 19/29/39/49 character and only do bgs. Lower the level, the easier it is to do it.
I do miss you Dare but I probably would be a distant memory by now if all I had was BfA. Bgs felt awful with the epics and some of the regulars I couldn’t blacklist. My god alliance pugs, their attitude was so awful most of the time too. Settle for crappy bg reward gear or do mythics, Mech/Naz or LFR. 90% of the time spent stuff I didn’t want to do in order to do the 10% that was getting less and less enjoyable if I didn’t have a group with me.
It felt so weird and tbh, a little uncomfortable being back the other day trying Koracks AV. I couldn’t even remember where to find the friends list to do an invite. I want to hold out for Shadowlands and hope it’s a better experience. I’m going to try and readjust my expectations for Classic and probably play less of it too. Doing some OW again for the first time in awhile.

Most of the streamers I frequently watch (Nihillo, Metrohaha, Nerfclap, etc) abandoned Classic some time ago. I’m not surprised really, the “honeymoon phase” was only going to last so long.
Personally I’m sitting pretty with maxed out essences/gear and ready for 8.3 myself, so continuing to play retail consistently since July has paid off for me. Right now I have 6 “geared” toons at 440+ iLvL, with 2 of those having maxed out essences.
Currently I’m mostly just playing epic bgs to pass the time, since there isn’t much else to do until 8.3 other than grinding essences on alts (zzzzz). Gear will be reset come 8.3, so there isn’t much point in M+ or raids right now other than fishing for titanforges… so PvP it is 
Looking forward to Vulpera, might race change one of my toons to one, I’m just waiting to see how their “final” version comes out on live before making any decision.

, it will be 49. Still undecided on class. Back in the day I played a priest but not gonna level another one so it will be mage or warlock most likely.
I have zero interest in returning to retail. I plan to stick with classic a while longer hoping the grouping situation improves. For every disappointment I’ve had in classic, it doesn’t compare to the total lack of interest in BfA. Classic still has my interest.

Can anyone tell me wtf is going on with my conquest cap? I finished it yesterday and now have another piece ready to be capped. I dont remember it doing this in the other seasons.
EDIT: ive capped every week this season, it was locked last week then boom had a 430 helmet ready tuesday finished cap yesterday and now gloves today
Could it be from where blizz prematurely ended the pvp season last week?

I’ve been working on the weekly bg quest for the four wins and I am at 3 wins, 22 losses for the week. What’s happened to the horde? It’s still been fun though messing with the ragers and being silly with strangers.

Getting rolled by Mythic geared dragon killers farming honor week. Can’t wait for this week to be over to get back with the people who actually just want to PVP for the sheer unholy delight of it.
I guess we’re rolling back to Alliance then.

120s are kinda nutty right now, with half the playerbase in half benthic/half heirlooms or level 60 gear.
