BG Ban wave. Blizzard needs to address this

Yeah its totally insane. This ban wave is just not well thought. Totally over done. Of the people I know caught up in it they arent going to bot. They sat in discord with me for like 20 hours of the grind.

Its literally toxic players just mass reporting people. Mostly because they don’t like what they are doing in AV… not that they ARENT DOING anything in AV.

Perhaps from what you understand. He clearly thinks it’s augmenting his point, and if it isn’t, then why not quote and address the whole bit, anyway?

You can enter the tower and have 0 bowman left.

If they’re innocent by all means appeal the ban. If they aren’t. Shut up and accept the consequences of your laziness

The point is, someone innocent should not have to lose time and take their own time and wait to appeal.

Again, it’s BAD business, and Blizzard/WoW is a business.

I’ve asked him to explain what’s relevant to his point and how it’s relevant to his point, and all he did was launch an onslaught of insults:

What difference would it make? My response to said quotes won’t change because the substance of his ideas and arguments is unchanged. Are you not familiar with how quoting works? If anything, it would just make this conversation less precise and less focused.

When you quote from a paper, do you quote THE ENTIRE PAPER or do you quote the relevant portion?

This 1000x

And I stand by what I said, if you go an entire game without managing to do a single point of damage or healing you in fact contributed nothing. Can that happen once in awhile? Sure, if it’s happening enough you get actioned that’s a you problem.

Sitting and defending a tower is no doing nothing. Your mere presence inside that bunker can prevent the enemy team from even attacking it. Gj showing you understand nothing about av though.

That is kind of not true.

Here is a good example. I had a friend that leveled his prot paladin to 70 and started gearing in AV. Now the guy isnt going to get kills. He isn’t going to do insane healing. So what did he do? He ran to a tower, tried to cap it, and if he got capped defended it. Sometimes people ran into the tower and he held as well as he could. Died really fast most the time.

He did this over the course of 3 days to get honor gear. Then got banned for it.

Keeping that ONE extra tower up can be the difference between a win or loss, in a BG that’s dependent on… TOWERS!

I literally don’t understand the logic on it.

Then maybe he shouldn’t have been in AV if he wasn’t level 80.

I will also say this, dont fight this battle here. Take it to twitter. They listen there. I doubt anyone from Blizzard even reads these forums.

If I miss the plague event because of this I’m going to be seriously upset.

LOL (not against you, just the Blizz comment)
“So we will just ban you if you don’t follow the line of the rest of players or are unlucky and got caught by enemy players early!”

I really hope that’s not what is happening here lol.

Then they should make AV only level 70 or take the XP rewards out. Some people are just bad and can’t fight well. Should we find a way to bar them from queuing for pvp too? Thats a really bad take.

I agree…

I plan to write a nasty-gram on their IG, Twitter, and FB.

Will it matter? Probably not, but if enough do… maybe.

This is the reality of the mass report/automatic ban feature.

If enough people report you, regardless of whether you did anything wrong, you will get banned, and that is BS

It is very dangerous to spam AV all day, all it takes is a couple people to report you for whatever reason, and you are done. It’s just not worth it. Any appeal you write won’t ever see an actual human being either, it will just be a copy and paste generic response.

Address what? Afk people being punished for being afk?

This is clearly not the case. Good critical thinking skills though…
