What “evidence” do you claim to have, after just stating we have almost no evidence of anything either way? You just pointed to Blizzard’s statements on the matter. I’ve read every word of every post of yours in this discussion. You made a lot of claims as to how their systems work, said that Blizzard should be believed over a random forum poster, yet provided no evidence.
You want to believe Blizzard? Go ahead, plenty of people blindly believe their leaders, but you had better not use the words “appeal to authority” on these forums again.

Yup. Leveled up my last few levels in AV and then geared up. No lifed it for a weekend. Went to the same tower, capped it like 50% of the time… killed a few archers… and then stood there until I got smoked in a back cap, it capped and I pushed forward, or the game ended. Sometimes not a whole lot happened. Sometimes a whole lot happened.
Banned for 30 days. First time offense. To anything. Missing the launch of the game because I worked on objectives.
Screw this game man.

Idk man I’ve seen a surge in people AFKing ever since prepatch. It’s getting crazy.
However coincidentally after this banwave and see only maybe 1 AFK per match now. That’s not a coincidence
There is no way they manually reviewed every one of these bans, over the weekend. They don’t have enough staff for that lol.

Go IBT or go TP, your tower goes down, your team down south immediately goes all in, game ends, you do 0 damage and 0 healing unless back cappers came. Rinse and repeat.

No its definitely automated. It probably auto-bans people that get reported for AFK with no real human interaction. Blizzard has like 6 people tops working on Classic. There’s absolutely zero chance that anyone is looking at these reports.

You seem to be conflating issues once again.
I said we have no evidence Blizzard lied in court and we have no evidence of whether or not these bans are justified. What we do have evidence of, and what I’m referencing in that quote you’ve used, is that the report system is not automated based on number of reports alone.
Please, I know conversation is hectic in here but please do keep up.
I disagree, that they can does not mean they should. Low levels queuing into AV are doing so fully knowing they will be dragging their team down.
