Oh I’m not defending people being banned for sitting in a tower, I’ve done it plenty; it’s part of the BG. I’m just saying that it’s absurd to believe the right-click report system automatically bans people. People literally just need to calm down and think about that for a second to realize it’s just not true.

I too received the 30-day suspension. 30 Days is a little extreme for first offenders and compared to other more serious offenses. Also, AV is broken and is partly to blame for the terrible META. If you don’t want people maximizing their time by leveling in AV, you shouldn’t allow XP to be earned. If I pay for a game, I should be able to play it however I please, even if it’s sitting idle in a cave. If you have bad game mechanics, that’s on the developer.

You’re doing it again, and ignored 80% of what was said. What is that 80%, you may ask? It’s in the statement I just made above, and I have no need to repeat it.
The irony of it all is “we can’t know if Blizzard is telling the truth or what the truth even is” is your defense, yet your argument with our friend up above was “believe Blizzard because they made this statement about their moderation and this is how it works because they said so.” What an absolute contradiction.
And if you don’t know whether or not they were telling the truth in court, or don’t know whether or not they’d tell the truth about this, why are you telling us to believe them? I have a feeling you do simply believe them in this instance. I have no idea as to why. That’s why I guessed naivety.

Right now read what I said, yes it’s stupid that low levels can queue into max level AV, that one is on blizzard. That doesn’t mean the people doing so aren’t abusing the bad design.

AV is the most dangerous BG to play. Almost everyone I’ve heard thats getting banned has solely been playing AV. Whatever crap automation software blizzard has running to detect AFK’s is obscenely broken. It can’t differentiate waiting for a tower to cap or defending, it just bans you.

I didn’t imply it, I flat out stated it.
The worst part is that we spend $80 on a package, get a boost and start playing their game purely for Wrath. Been active on WoW for 11 years and never one action against my account and the first ban, wrongfully, is 30 days and I miss something I’ve been planning for 6 months.

Not dumber than pretending a level 61 in AV can do anything useful.
My cousin was streaming his AV’s on discord. He was running into a mountainside for 3 hours playing the Peggle addon. He didn’t get banned.
The bans are going out after players are getting reported and Blizzard is looking into the reports. Some people are probably getting suspended after defending towers and what not, I don’t agree with that but it’s not some automated system detecting you doing 0 damage for x games or whatever.
