I have done bfd 3 times now once each reset for someone in the group to leave at the 6th boss, i get that some people have places to be but today we had a healer just leave the group at the boss for no reason at all (before we even attempted the boss) and because we are at the 6th boss we couldnt find a healer that was willing to skip the first 5 bosses… because of the instance ID lockout everyone in the group was unable to complete the raid because of one player. having an instance ID on the raid makes it so you cant just invite someone else to come and finish up the raid leaving the rest of the group without the kills for this reset yet again. I’m posting this as personally I’ve put in a lot of effort farming elixir’s, scrolls, potions, food buffs, gear and more just to have the run flawed because 1 person leaves the group.
Is there a way we can remove instance ID from the raid or allow players to still be able to kill bosses they already have killed but not get loot rolls till they are up to their current boss?
in classic era I would have my wand from bfd at level 18, but in SoD you need to be level 25 to do the bfd raid so you cant get it before then. Now because of a single player leaving the group and locking everyone from finishing a raid myself and everyone else in the group basically needs to wait until the next reset to hope they get a group of people who will stay for the entire raid… this honestly makes me not want to even try with SoD content anymore since it has happened all 3 resets so far and I would love to see something a little bit more flexible for raids as nobody wants to join a raid that has 5 bosses downed already making it near impossible to fill, the only other people that become interested in completing the raid are players that are also 5/7 but then they cant even join and enter the raid because of different instance ID’s. something needs to change with this asap.
That’s a great thing about retails per-boss lockout system instead of raidID. Nobody is locked to a raidID (except I think in mythic difficulty), you just can only roll on loot from a boss once a week. You could go back multiple times to help other people fill a spot and finish, or to just get that one boss you missed or whatever.
It’s a much more player-friendly system that I wish they’d use in at least non-era versions of classic.
Pug were never a good system in Classic because of the lockout in raids.
it encourages fixed groups
I have left the guild I was in as it was a guild member that left causing the issue so even fixed groups are at risk with these trolls.
Why would your guild not just pick up where you guys left off later? You realize you can go back into the raid with your guild, right?
But they would be short a healer since one dropped out and it’s unlikely they are going to easily find a healer that wants to join a 5/7 for their weekly run.
Lock outs shouldn’t apply under a certain gear score. Yes, this will be exploited but idc.
Indonesia also prefers this.
→ “i get that some people have places to be”
→ doesn’t get that some people have places to be
So how would you go about continuing a run with people that were not there for the original is it not possible?
ya thats great but would be nice if the system didnt bend me over sideways cause some guy has plans
which is a terrible system for an MMO but classic andies are and always the same nostalgia junkies
Personally i let my wallet do the talking i believe many casual will do. If they wanna suit the sweaty let them be. Soon servers will be empty like classic servers now.
so you’ve just never played an MMO before???
what systems are similar? what mmo does a re-hash of older content? also talking about mmo exp? DnDOnline/ Wildstar/ Albion/ OSRS/ D2/ FF14/ GW1-2. Ive done it all guy, The lockout system is still trash
dude you gotta stop necroing old posts. Sorry your group wiped on kelris and you cant form another, just wait til next lockout. they arent changing the lockout system anytime soon
why are you even responding then LOL goomba
Because you necroed a post…to tell you about it and to tell you to move on.
