As far as the dislikes being deleted - not defensible. I heard the explanation but I can’t defend it - or anything about the Diablo Immortal announcement.

That said, I don’t think Blizzard set up bots to win this award.

As I’ve said, all along - it shouldn’t be a surprise that the most popular MMORPG in the world won the award for the most popular MMORPG in the world. I didn’t say it first, but I agree, if the award were for the most disliked MMORPG in the world, then WoW would have won that too.

My first post was dripping with sarcasm which is sometimes hard to read:

It would have won world’s best MMO when WoD was the new expansion. When your the only relevant MMO, winning first place isn’t that much of an accomplishment.

I do believe someone at Activision Blizzard suspected there was a chance they’d lose - that’s why a CM posted about the Gamers Choice Award notifications here to solicit votes (when they’ve never done that in the past - you can look in the old forums).

Did they hire bots? We’ll probably never know. But one thing I do know for sure: if they thought there was a chance they’d lose, you better believe they did - just like they had 100k dislikes removed from their trailer.

Fanboy gonna be a fanboy no matter the facts. Players have left this game by the millions dude. Wake up from your blizzard induced dream. The devs refused to implement any good feedback in their bad game for some crazy reason. It cost them dearly.

I mean, most other MMORPGs I’ve tried haven’t really been that great so… oldest running/most played mmoRPG kinda means WoW would win in most cases. I’d vote for WoW for BC, WotLK, Cata, MoP, and Legion. I didn’t do any voting this year because BFA doesn’t deserve it and no other MMOs feel fun.
