I’m glad BFA won awards. /clap BFA is still a masterpiece. But the major pillars of this particular expansion (Azerite, Warfronts, Island Expeditions) are fairly weak, not engaging, and contain vast potential that hasn’t been tapped into yet.

This is the type of people Blizzard caters to now. Buffoons who call the game a “masterpiece” then immediately contradict themselves by saying there’s serious flaws that make it weak.

Do not cringe. I was giving Blizzard’s art team credit. Art team is carrying so hard. As for the actual game systems developers - they’re terrible. And deserve to be fired, frankly, because they’re destroying the game we all love so much.

Yeah, I suspect that most of them are the type of players who would call in sick for work, skip class, or cancel appointments on a launch day of an expansion, just to level up to max level and get all the achievements in one day, and then complain after a couple of days that they’re bored and there’s nothing to do in end-game content. They just don’t get that the problem is them, not the developers.

The devs have never refused to listen to feedback - but doing something about them is not instantaneous. This is a 14 year old game with millions and millions of lines of code. That they can keep it up and playable with added content and changes for this long is a testament to their skill and expertise.

There are a lot of things I don’t like about FFXIV (the healing classes suck in that game, and are so simplistic, just spam Stone, then cast a healing spell every 20 seconds), but it clearly is a polished game that lots of people find fun. So I agree, they totally deserve it.

Anyone who thinks that’s tinfoil bait, I have a Youtube video that Blizzard put out that lost 100k dislikes. Activision Blizzard loves to tamper with popular vote and will do so any chance it can. They’ve proven it.
