Well that sure shows that the Gamerâs Choice Awards is a farce and itâs rigged.
Why would they pick the worst xpac for WoW to finally win? Unless they know there wonât be anymore xpacs perhaps and that WoW is dead? So this is more of a Lifetime Achievement Award?
The only reason haters are mad about the reward now blizzard can use it to get new players or even old players to try out WoW as a ad and the TV atleast got people attention on this MMOrpg.:)
Trolled?
You mean how some of us felt insulted that we canât get simple communication to clarify simple issues yet we get communication âremindingâ people to vote for a gamers choice award?
Idk about any of the other posters but I still feel that way.
Look at the blues forum statistics. They tell quite a story about how active they are within this forum community.
Unless ofc they are on their alts and not their bluesâŚ
Whilst it is certainly the case that there are bound to be players who think BfA is the bees knees, the rate of abandonment of BfA is astonishingly high. On my server, there is hardly anyone in the zones and no one is talking in trade chat. My guild cleared H Uldir, then most of the players stopped logging in and I suspect they wonât be back until 8.1.5. This is the quietest I have EVER seen my server. It feels like the lull in the 3-6 months at the END of an xpac.
Are you saying that you havenât experienced the following?
Significantly reduced log-ins amongst guildmates.
Significantly reduced trade and chat in the trade channel.
Visibly fewer players in the BfA zones and DazarâAlor/Boralus.
Fewer players queueing for content in group finder.
In all four cases, the amount of activity on my server is about on par with the end of an xpac.
As for having a source - I am not a journalist, nor is there any reasonable expectation that I should have to supply sources and data for comments I make in GD. The idea that I should is profoundly disingenuous.
LFR ques are the same same with LFG maybe is just those area that arenât being used and warfronts are still haveing alot of people around. Also the islands are about the same.
When youâre claiming something as fact, itâs usually good to have something to back it up. You can say that it feels like things are thinning outâthatâd be realistic and genuine to you. But you donât know. And I donât know. And no one really knows except the Blizzard people. And theyâre not talking.
Thereâs definitely a lot of stuff you can talk about without making groundless conjecture. Some good. Some bad. But if you really want to talk about stuffâtalk about how it feels to you. Thatâs something that people canât really take away from you and itâs far more powerful than making stuff up.
You realize that just because WoW won doesnât actually mean itâs better, right? The Choice Awards have become the same circlekjerk that the Oscars and Emmys are. Quality doesnât matter. The only thing that matters is who can pander to the âgame journalistsâ the most. We, the gamers, donât have actually a choice in who or what wins those awards.
Just speaking for my server but there are zero signs of that happening here itâs still very active and i keep seeing people from my server more then others on here. Also at full even on non peak times.
I clearly stated, in the post in question, the basis for my claim. And it was clearly anecdotal and personal. People are free to assess the value of that anecdotal evidence. But it is disingenuous to dismiss it out of hand because I donât have a third party source to back it up. And precisely because of what you stated - that a third party source or data could not exist due to Blizzardâs secretiveness. It is likely that the poster would have known this as they made their response to my post.
Instead, a much more reasonable response for a General Discussion forum would have been to discuss whether my observations of activity on my server were mirrored on other servers, and whether such observations are a reliable indicator of activity (which I think they probably are).
A shame Square Enix blew their budget paying all those people to leave garbage user reviews for BfA and not having enough to outspend Blizzard for the Game Awards Show.
