BfA won Gamers` Choice Awards šŸ†

LUL. This canā€™t be real.

WTB some variety in this game. I canā€™t believe it won anything for how stale some of the content has become. Isnā€™t this expansion supposed to be all about boats and ships? Give us Ship to Ship combat. Let us fire cannons at the opposite faction then board their boat after weā€™ve lit them aflame and half sunk it. Upgradeable boats/fleets would be way cooler than artifact power 2.0 Heart of Azeroth. Integrate it into the Island Expeditions and instantly make them more fun and engaging. Maybe like have half the azerite of the IE be aquired from ship to ship combat and the other half from riding around on the island killing things. What am I paying 15$ a month for? Most of everything this expansion seems like more of the same. Thoughts/opinions welcome.

Nah. It just means going forward Blizz is going to create games that have less depth when it comes to gameplay and gearing options than Diablo 3, and if thatā€™s the kinda game you want to play thatā€™s your choice.

Kinda like catering to players like you who have chested a +5 as your highest m+. Thatā€™s fine, but players looking for a higher skill cap/depth in a game wonā€™t stay with WoW.

Oh yeah, there are websites that keep track of toonā€™s progress that you donā€™t hear about on these forums xD

Thatā€™s kinda why it made me laugh when people wanted raiderio and armory privateā€¦ lol those arent the only places.

If you actually like BfA, youā€™re terrible at video games and you canā€™t distinguish good from terrible.

With the amount of good games that came out this year, BfA looks like an indie game in comparison. If you think otherwise then you havenā€™t played games this year.

Ok got it, I must have misunderstood you. It seemed like you were saying it needed to be called just an MMO not RPG because of the people not being social lol.

Guys, thereā€™s no need to lash out just because your opinion is unpopular. Your opinion doesnā€™t invalidate other peopleā€™s opinions, and vice versa.

All it means, if legit(itā€™s not), is that the genre is in a pathetic state right now.

ā€¦The whole ā€œif you like something I donā€™t, youā€™re a problemā€ mentality is why people donā€™t take GD seriously at all. Itā€™s a rotten attitude to have. Some people like things. Insulting them because they donā€™t hate something you do is pretty low.

BfA has its problems. I donā€™t do much content in it like raiding because Iā€™m not that interested this patch. But thereā€™s things I like and dislike.

Another rigged voting process, huh? Was this done in Florida by any chance?

I agree. This thread is full of people being rude. I donā€™t get why people resort to flat out insult others that they donā€™t agree with. It doesnā€™t give their position any ground.

Really? Thatā€™s pretty great!

There are no insults, Iā€™m just saying with the amount of quality games this year, BfA is an indie game in comparison. A single chapter in God of War has more quality, depth, story, rpg elements then this entire expansion donā€™t count graphics, and itā€™s not even for PC.

Santa Monica is nowhere near Activison Blizzard in terms of budget. The difference was, they asked for more money and received it.

There were clearly insults.
Also the comparisons you made are between two completely different genres.
Iā€™m not sure quality against the other titles that were in the same category, but obviously a lot of people voted for it or it wouldnā€™t have won.

Also just to point out, the category consisted of only 2 games that are available in OCE/SEA. This really hurts the bracket. I didnā€™t vote personally, but if I had, how could I justify voting for a different game that doesnā€™t even provide server support and thus offers a reduced experience because the game cannot be played below 300 ping?

ā€¦No insults? Are you seeing what you said? Again why people donā€™t take GD seriously. Like, if you hate the game and express it, thatā€™s fine. But mudslinging at other people doesnā€™t get your point across at all, and only makes you look rude.

Iā€™m basing my thoughts on the games Iā€™ve played this year. I have played a lot, actually 2018 has been the best gaming year for me personally since 1996. The only game that comes in worse than BfA this year was Fallout 76. Bad year for PC in general, Nintendo and Sony killed it this year, and looks like next year too. The quality of their games is unmatched at this point that playing BfA feels like a giant waste of time when so much better stuff is out there.

I tried getting into FFXIV and just couldnā€™t.

In so many ways superior to WOW but the aesthetics, as silly as it sounds, throw me off.

Which again, is your opinion. What you say isnā€™t the end-all-be-all. People like different things. Thereā€™s problems with BfA that I see as well. But I donā€™t go out of my way to insult people who disagree with me like you did, because that wonā€™t change the game for the better at all.

God of war is good so WoW BFA is bad? They are totally different games. Wow is an MMO, youā€™d have to compare it to other MMOs. If you donā€™t like MMOs then it doesnā€™t matter if itā€™s better then god of war. You wont like it.

And IMO WoW is still better then any other MMO I have played.

Thatā€™s great. Iā€™m glad 2018 was really good for you. But that still doesnā€™t counter the win for BfA. Nintendo and Sony killed it, but not with MMORPGā€™s. That is all we are saying.
Itā€™s apples to oranges, there are multiple genres assigned for their own award, BfA didnā€™t win ā€œBest Game of 2018ā€ or anything like that.

Either Spider-man or god forbid Fortnite would technically get that based on number of awards won.
