BfA won Gamers` Choice Awards 🏆

Like I said in the other thread, Blizzard’s popularity alone is strong enough to make them win any popularity contest. People that don’t even play WoW see this bracket and will pick the Blizzard title. This outcome doesn’t surprise me at all.

I’m not saying that BfA didn’t deserve to win (it was the only game on that list that released an expansion this year after all) but I think Blizzard got a lot of awards they didn’t deserve in the past, and only got it because it’s a Blizzard game, ie: Overwatch GotY in 2016. No way.

The key to disliking WoW isn’t quitting. You have to hang out for another 5 years as an active player making sure you let everyone know just how much you dislike WoW. And if anyone disagrees with you, over anything
by golly. They are just a paid white knight shilling.

BFA > > > > Vanilla

If it’s such a flop why would people want to vote multiple times?

I actually disagree quite a bit with that.

Any game site I go to people bash WoW left and right. It’s the game gamers love to hate. I play many different mmo’s on and off and WoW is well known of course but again, it’s almost always WoW bashing in chat in other games. Due to all of this I have saw for many years I highly doubt WoW won because of it being so well known and popular. Surely Final Fantasy and Elder Scrolls are extremely well known too now aren’t they?

100% agree

Lol. So true!

Yeah and they also better games which is weird because this thing still won even with half the player base vanishing after 2 months of an xpac launch and after insane backlash from the community and after even the workers speaking out to how dud it is to work for blizzard and after their stocks keep falling and after they get boo’d at blizzcon

They ain’t doin themselves no favours here

Unfortunately nothing new

Hey now, let’s not cherry pick our arguments here. Everyone knows why they got Boo’d and it had nothing to do with BFA.

I don’t think I’m blinded by “fanboyism” rather it is just people like you so wrapped up in everything negative you couldn’t have a nice or enjoyable thing if it was placed right in front of you. You probably have no idea what types of feedback I give or what my interests in game are but you are quick to label anything positive as being a fanboy or shilling out lol.

Final Fantasy actually isn’t that well known to the younger generation. When I log into FF14 most people seem to be FF fans in their 30s, and played FF back when it was great. This is due to the series’ single player entries taking a complete nosedive with FF12, 13 and 15, and WoW completely eclipsing FF11 (and everything else.)

But that’s all a matter of opinion as to which game is better.

I have played both FFXIV and ESO. While I personally think both games are great in their own right, they are not better than WoW in my opinion. WoW I keep coming back to and have played on and off for 13 years. Through all the ups and downs, I love this game. There just isn’t another game that can compare for me. When I play WoW, I normally stay subbed for a year or more at a time, always.

When I play FFXIV or ESO, it’s typically only for a month at most on the rare occasion. So to say one game is better than the other is purely opinion and nothing more.

The only game that can usually tear me away from WoW for more than a month is Guild Wars 2. That is another one of my favorites. I go back and forth quite a bit from GW2 and WoW.

I consider the list a joke anyways and this award was stupid and rigged because they didn’t put old school runescape on there because it would have won

If this game had half the development/player interaction that osrs has we’d all lose our minds at how good it can get
