This is true, albeit akin to saying that being gouged in one eye is better than being gouged in two eyes, and this is also a true statement. 
I really liked Bfa, but this? I am disappointed in Shadowlands. Maybe Iâm not built for WoW anymore, but Bfa will hold a place in my heart.
Thatâs a bold statement considering BFA had an infinite power grind.
BfA had a great atmosphere. The gameplay was cringe however
Pros
- Essences IMO were bloody amazing (especially in 9.3 when you could purchase them), The leveling zones were gorgeous, the story was actually quite compelling throughout (even though I hate what they did with Nâzoth it was still cool), Island expeditions were really cool (just needed a bit more love and they wouldâve been great), Nazjitar and mechagon were both amazing.
Cons - Azerite armor was AWFUL all expansion (wouldâve just been better if they just added teir sets for each type of content), The AP grind was still present and horrible, PvP gearing was horrible etc.
I donât really think it was better than SL, but SL is really suffering from lack of content atm and from a few really dumb design choices tat still arenât being addressed (and people are sick of dealing with stupid design choices blizzard adds in).

So there I was turning in questsâŚat about renown 18. Get my my wrists from part 1 venthyr story. Seems no one like old boys meeting. This was funnier first time with CN already out the story was not even at that point yet.
But anyway, I go to anima upgrade andâŚnope. You must be done chapter 4.
Was putting this off and opted for power seesions of anima, renown, honor and grind conquest epics/normal BG.
So there are 3 grinds here for alts/new players on fresh 60âs. The anima, the renown andâŚthe damn story. And I already have 2 venthyr clears on other chars. Iâd really like a buy 2 get 1 free deal here.
I mean I am farming the anima and renown. I got my sand paper and smoothing out those edges. Hook a brother up, please.
Think of the alt runners. They will have people going why is your dps so bad. Then you tell them its 155 to run heroic dungeon. I am 156. So you work out how weak that is lol.
BFA I liked new alt gear up better. Log in, see out of like ,what ,20 WQâs at least 3 pieces of gear usually there an upgrade. Cherry pick the wqâs and try next day.
Essences and azerite on alts to me was not do or die. I didnât hound the essences on alts really.
I had decent azerite on alts even before the gimme 8.2.x flood of it. that stuff came in basic game played time really .

Itâs all relative. One is a poke in the eye bad. The other is a punch to the gut bad.
Hope everyone gets their moneyâs worth. Especially if Shadowlands = WoD 2.0.
it was better by far all expansions were better than shadowlands games as dead as it ever was that says alot about how good something is. content drought caused some but there were tons already leaving before that was even being brought up. for as long as i have been on my server it has never been this dead not even close.

My value comes from running older content. Weaker solo classes at least make out better with even crappy sl gear. I have seen my lock get better in legion solo dungoen (normal) as she worked up to 60. For the ye old run all dungeons lock armour set piece that needs it.
Its just, yeah, I rely on it more in SL. BFA I did this to get my void elves. then ran them in BFA more.
SL I 60 alts and go mehâŚthis works for legacy raid farmer number x. The lock will be good times. So many hits for lock cloth bopâs to come for her since not used beyond icc mount runs.
Then you shouldnât have a problem with shadowlands because it requires not even half of the 20% you did in BFA.
i like bfa more, i didnt need to make bag space for anima and have to dump it in the thing once in a while
SL would be slightly better than BfA without the content drought. With the content drought BfA is better than SL.
I rate BfA 3.5/10, WoD 3/10, and SL 2.5/10.
3 of the last 4 expansions have been garbage.
